Always seemed to be around in things when I was a lad. So how many possible threads could he have gone in? Pop Stars? Character Actors? Songwriters? Carry On Dying? Comics and Comedy? Children's TV? Kenny Lynch did it all, and there's probably a couple of generations who have never heard of him. RIP.

Hasn't hit Wikipedia yet, but there's another one gone over the last couple of days, upping the recent count to 4 players. He played 434 games in the NHL with 6 different teams - 5 of the Original 6 teams (apart from the Red Wings) and the expansion Minnesota North Stars. He was 89.

As I can't find another musician with the name I'll suggest that this is a death notice for the Ray Swinfield who played flute on Penny Lane: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/236611/swinfield If so, he also played on music heard on Mr Benn and the soundtrack for Chicago, played with Johnny Dankworth's Orchestra and recorded music with Roy Castle and separately the Play Away presenters.

Looks like Tamara O'Brien, who I'm sure many people had on their long lists died off the radar, and is only noted by a single line on an old article of her. Was also a Windy City pick...
