2 pointsFor a cough I always keep pholcodine linctus in the house. Unbranded and cheap, usually have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter. I'm not sure it's as effective as it used to be as I fear that as usual they may have removed the ingredient that made it work but it always used to help me get off to sleep when the cough was at its worst. Try it and see.

2 pointsBMI is a load of shite, mind you. Just saying. My best BMI was when I was chronically underweight and visiting A&E for lung problems! Now that I keep regular exercise (the lockdown is getting in the way somewhat) to battle my asthma, and eat properly, I am a lot better health wise than I was then, and my BMI is much worse!

1 pointGILFian Anderson giving a handjob to an aubergine was the only good part of Sex Education and you can watch that in gif form online rather than bother with the whole show.

1 point(In no particular order)... online karoke singing, reading the classics (ie free) on kindle, playing guitar, FB Quiz Planet, wanking, phone chats, walking/photographing in the countryside, avoiding job applications, drinking Boost/tea/coffee, smoking rollies, watching Pointless/Doctors/Countdown/Britain's Worst Serial Killers, pondering, taking SSRIs, listening to ipod... hmmm, it actually sounds quite productive in list form. Yay me.

1 pointwell...Im still drinking a lot. Slightly more important to me than posting here in fact.I take delivery of alcohol at least three times a week. Yesterday a mixed beer case from a local Brewery that delivers. However , somewhat surprisingly I have noticed that buying from Scotland is the way forward. Three days ago gin and beer from the Isle of Skye...and I have a 57% bottle coming from the Orkneys later this week . I have 10 bottles of wine and ten food items as part of a deal from Northern Italy also later this week . I need to watch out for that one for obvious reasons. ALL these are free delivery. I spend HOURS trying to find places that offer free delivery....its great fun !

1 pointYea it's keeping me up now .Totally get how this kills vulnerable people. I'm not unhealthy aside from being a little overweight BMI 26 and I was bedridden for 3 days . Literally had no energy and couldn't get up. The muscle aches especially the joints were just awful. I dislocated my shoulder last year and it inflamed that shoulder again worse than other joints. This disease seems to have many ways to attack the body. Anyway those issues eased then the cough started , just happy the taste and smell are returning though currently I can only taste sweet things which ain't to bad great excuse to eat all the junk food.

1 pointSorry to hear that @the_engineer Few weeks. I keep thinking I'm better so I overdo it, then get booted all over again. I've never been so ill I can't walk two miles to the shop for more than one or two days. I smoked through pleurisy when I smoked and gave not one fuck. This is something else all right. It ain't man flu and it affects you XY people even more. I don't so much sleep as burn up and hallucinate with my eyes closed. I ate today for the first time in almost a week so all that doesn't help. Taste and smell like you say, you honestly can't be hooped but you should try. Coughing at night is shite. You never get the rest you really need. I think this IS the mild version though. Someone I know is likely dead within two days. So I think we're okay.

1 pointI think it is harder for "certain acts" (older artists, charity singles etc.) to get to #1 now. Reason being because the chart is not just based on just physical singles and digital downloads, it also includes streaming from services like Deezer or Spotify. Younger people use them A LOT and they sure as hell are not listening to Captain Tom Moore or Vera Lynn.

1 pointJet's been on some of my pools for a while. His health is not good and he had to give up touring with the band several years ago.

1 point12! That's pathetic - 'mon Scotland you're not even trying - it's a fucking pandemic not a coach crash FFS.

1 pointHello all, long time since my last post. I am working from home which requires me getting out of bed and moving to my sofa for the day in front of a laptop, in between essential work I get to have fab irreverent group video chats with my colleagues every day which often descend into the normal innuendo chats we would have in the office. My boss described them last week as 'mental health therapy' and they really are, laughter is often the best medicine. I have been at home now since March 12th - yes we worked out early that staying at home was the best idea, sometime before Boris did. Boredom is still a factor and when not working I can be seen stalking the dog that lives across the road from my windows - I lost my own dog in December to heart failure- and playing computer games. Steam and Big Fish Games have been my solace these days. Stay safe folks and now I have finally found out how to log in here again I may well be around a bit more :-)
