I was all ready to google that for an urban slang definition then I remembered I'm at work and that could be a big mistake.

Some protestors yesterday evening staged a Die-In outside Dominic Cummings’ house, playing dead across his road while holding signs telling him how much of a cunt he is.

The only one I think is near dying is Tom Smith. The others: not so much. For some reason I voted for Desmond Tutu though because of Covid-19 and because South Africa is being hard hit now - but that is the only reason. ( I would have voted Tom Smith under normal circumstances.)

Don’t take that as an age-related insult Toastie, I’m a boomer too apparently and I was born in 1996.

No. I said it was "another of those weird American words that make little sense". To break that down for you: It is American in origin. It doesn't make much sense. The reason it doesn't make sense is that when someone is offended, insulted or whatever, it is not their arse that hurts. The arse is not the seat of emotions and feelings. I hope that's cleared it up. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and do some grown-up things.

I’ve just discovered that Renee Simonot used to dub Olivia. Now Renee is the oldest living actress in the world, followed by Olivia. Funny coïncidence.

Yeah this is totally based on their desire to get their tourist season up and running - it's a disgrace really. As for Mexico and Brazil if you compare their tested cases v their actual cases it's obvious that testing in wider population is non existent - I think their numbers could still be on a steep upward curve and could exceed US. The countries that are interesting are in the Middle East where cases are high but death very low - Qatar being the most striking. Suggests that there is a temperature/sunshine level at which the disease is less deadly.

Just kinda goes to show that boomers will argue about anything huh... Ok go and call your grandkids or whatever, I also have better things to do than be lectured on how young people words aren't proper words etc...

I suspect they didn't want to have obits that rightly called out his anti-Semitism and general conspiracy bullshit out there that reminded the public of the dumpster fire that he was. Unfortunately, looks like there was enough of a lull in celeb deaths that the NYT obit staff had the time to sift through Cali death record for proof.

What does 'butthurt' actually mean though? As in dictionary definition.

The Sweet was my favourite band and Desolation Boulevard (US version) was the first album I ever owned. I was 12 or 13 and didn’t know shite about ‘glam’ or anything. I just knew I loved them and the Chinn/Chapman writing and production. But I was also proud of them for writing and producing Fox On The Run, proving they could do it on their own. Them being glam was lagniappe. RIP - your biggest fan who never saw you live. Sir Creep

Or perhaps a fake alien invasion using hologram technology? The world governments already have many of us on lock-down, while travel is restricted for most of us - even when everything opens up a bit, we are still locked inside our countries (many have had help in coming home as soon as possible - `they` do not want a lot of their citizens trapped in other countries when the shit hits the fan.) A worldwide dictatorship perhaps? The invasion will scare a lot of people so they will happily turn over their lives/perceived freedoms for protection. Which is more scary? A fake or real alien invasion?

Addendum while I'm locking up. I'm rather proud that this pool has never had a player end up with a zero, every player who has entered has scored every year. Well done!

After all the conspiracy stuff about Paul being dead in the 60s (to present day), the Reaper is going to play silly buggers and Macca will outlive us all.
