Another name from the Golden Age of Hollywood gone... Sonia Darrin, dead at 96 according to this film noir Twitter page. She was the last credited cast member of the iconic Bacall/Bogart film The Big Sleep (1946), which is a must watch if you haven't seen it.

It would be nice to have someone plain nasty die rather than loveable centenarians

Hello everyone (this is my first ever comment ) I’m fairly confident Pope Benedict won’t last next year if he survives 2020. He’s very frail from recent images I’ve seen (but then again I thought he seemed really old when he was Pope ) I feel like Glynis Johns is a big possibility as well. I can’t explain it but I just get a feeling that one day I’ll be scrolling through twitter and an obituary for her will emerge.

You make Richard Madeley look like a genius. You are either a real 100% genuine moron or you are playing quite a fabulous game to fool us all. Personally, I would run with 'a real 100% genuine moron' FWIW.

Old people drop litter too. Some kids mature and grow out of anti-social habits, but others continue not giving a shit throughout their lives.

All Blacks legend Andy Haden dead at 69. Another one who was never going to make the starting line.

Well, who else do you think Willz was implying when he mentioned the remaining three. Batman?

When I started this thread, I never imagined it would be chugging along 13 years later. Can someone tell me what the deal is - kids must be kidnapped and murdered the world over every day, but it doesn't make the news, let alone have reams of prose devoted to it month after month. Or is it just my UK-centric bias, and the good people of Liberia or Laos have never heard of Maddie? There must be more to it than KnG's expert lobbying skills.

The earliest 13th hit was day 255 in 2003 which corresponds to 11th September this year but at this point in 2003 there had not been an 8th hit.

IMO, the biggest death so far, was Kobe Bryant. But because it happened before Corona, it feels weirdly long ago. That death dominated for 2-3 days. Ghislaine Maxwell also has big death potential. If it happens, there will be conspiracy theories for years (again). In terms of biggest names... I don't know. Yes, we might not have had the A+ names, but we certainly had A-names, and quite a few at that, especially on the death list, but also Ennio Morricone and John Lewis and Kobe.

If the committee put him on the list and Eastwood finds out about it, he seems like a guy who would personally fly to everyone's house and punch them in the face.

Surely someone would've noticed the transition between the two? This reminds me of the case of Jeanne Calment (oldest person ever) where they thought that the case of the 122 year old was fraudulent - that Jeanne Calment's identity was assumed by her daughter. Again this was dismissed due to the transition between mother and daughter being obvious to those who knew Jeanne.

Nah we all know this is true, Prince Phillip is actually 10 years old when his son was born. Gotta say he looks very mature for his age

Of course there's already a topic for it. *sigh* Statistics I've found that people, knowing my luck, already know: The closest we've come to a full knock-out of the top 5 is in 2013, 2016 and 2020, with 4/5 deaths. The largest "red rows" (consecutive listings all dying) were in 2017, with the deaths of the bottom 4, Joost van der Westhuisen, Mary Tyler Moore, Errol Christie and Ian Brady, as well as 2-5 dying this year.

If Prince Philip dies this year, I’ll give you a couple hints on who I think should be #1. Her first name is Betty and she is White.
