8 pointsHeard the news bulletin on my way to work. All I heard was “one of Britain’s most notorious serial killers has died” - didn’t need the name, I immediately thought about this forum. RIP Wilma McCann, Emily Jackson, Irene Richardson, Patricia 'Tina' Atkinson, Jayne MacDonald, Jean Jordan, Yvonne Pearson, Helen Rytka, Vera Millward, Josephine Whitaker, Barbara Leach, Marguerite Walls and Jacqueline Hill.

5 pointsWith the news of the death of Peter Sutcliffe we have now equalled the record year of 2017 and we are on track I believe to make a new record.
-
4 pointsAmazing character. For once, he was actually a bad student with low marks but fulfilled his goals anyway. He was known to be a die-hard fan of Final Fantasy, which is hard to believe about a man born in 1926.

3 pointsOne of the only deaths on here that I'm pleased about. at least some good news for 2020. I also get genuinely angry when I think that when he was ill he could be taking up resources in hospital that could be used for good decent people. RIP to all the people he murdered, thoughts with those who he severely injured and to their families whose lives he destroyed.

3 points4 hits for Peter Sutcliffe by Bibliogryphon, nantonian2013, Radguy and TomTomTelekom + the Committee, of course.

3 pointsNice to have a genuinely evil person go rather than a kind and friendly nonagenarian. Is this the first List death that can be attributed to Covid?

2 pointsPerhaps, Sidney Cooke should take on the no. 50 spot on the 2021 DL, now that Sutcliffe has died.

2 points@Octopus of Odstock, maybe you know about this but there's an article here dated 29th July 2002. Two paragraphs down it talks about a moment's silence for the memory of the LATE Urbano Rivera. So likely he died that month. Translation of 2nd paragraph: "The Jardines loudspeaker network sent one that deserved "sticks" from its people. Yesterday while the minute of silence in memory of the late Urbano Rivera, a former Danubio player in the 1950s, was being fulfilled, the man went on and on with the formations. As he did not stop, people began to turn around and with gestures they silenced him, so the minute was "longer" than expected."

2 pointsWho says Friday the 13th was unlucky? The past week has been unusually lucky. Trump lost the election.A corona vaccine was announced. Scotland qualified for a football tournament for the first time ion 22 years, Dominic Cummings resigned, and now this ! I'm off to buy a lottery ticket. See you in the Bahamas !

2 pointsCongrats to those who picked Kico Slabinac. Which means we're already at (some number of) possible game-enders.....

2 pointsAh, see I told you I'm no good at this. Has to be explained in baby steps. You'd marvel I've been around this place 7 years (apparently) and still don't get the basics. Then again, maybe you wouldn't. My lot are so healthy you could start in Dec 2021 anyway and I'd still not be concerned.

2 pointsMy order (that I fucking preordered) from Brewdog has arrived! A slightly cloudy, nicely hopped New England IPA that carries its 6% lightly, a nicely tropical nose and a refreshing finish. Would happily get absolutely Cummingsed on this if it weren’t for work tomorrow.
