2 pointsOkay, I had to check because of Jean-Claude Carriere, but you have a point. The rules only say that the news section of Yahoo counts, not the Eurosport and finance sites. Irrelevant for Josh Evans, as mentioned. ... and now... okay, I thought Carriere only had a yahoo finance mention, but no, he already has this: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/jean-claude-carriere-oscar-winning-234131804.html And honestly, I think yahoo works in the way that once you see it on one of their sections, you see it on all of them. I mean, why should Carriere get a Sports or finance obit? And while I only saw the international link of that obit in Google news, I was able to just add the "uk." bit to the URL and voilà... So practically, once it's anywhere on Yahoo, it's everywhere. Edit: Yeah, works just as well for Josh Evans: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/josh-evans-titans-tackle-2000-213627734.html

2 pointsIf you die of exposure or falling on K2 in the depths of winter that's expected. If you die of a plane crashing on your head on K2 in the depths of winter that's unexpected. If you die being eaten by a lion on K2 in the depths of winter that's unexpected and unnatural. If you die being murdered by the Spanish Inquisition on K2 in the depths of winter, well, nobody expects that.

1 pointNot sure that’s the case. 2017 interviews with them here, published in The Express of all places! No more interviews probably owing to a lack of media interest is more likely. Both of them had uncredited roles, they’re barely notable. You say “3 deaths away” from Kornman being the last, but nobody online seems wholly convinced that Silas Hathaway is alive. Firstly, someone posted news of his death on a Voy notice board 2 years ago but it was removed due to being unsourced. Secondly, when he was ~98, he was reportedly quite ill. So could very well just be the 2 Watsons + Kornman living.

1 pointCurious, the second coin-related topic in a row. Anyway, here's my two euro-cents: Over here, the only denomination with commemorative coins entering circulation are 2€. That's a value that's more likely to stay in circulation quite a while. Of course smaller countries' sets are smaller, too, and surface more rarely, e.g. German coins on the other hand are extremely widespread. There's an ongoing Bundesländer series with one different state (represented by some well-known monument) minted each year. Even the old ones (they started with Schleswig Holstein in 2005 and are set to end next year with Thuringia) still turn up in change sometimes, and I'm always excited to catch the new ones in the wild, usually around this time of the year (haven't got Saxony-Anhalt yet, though!).

1 pointIf you say so. That would however mean that a heart attack, cancer, stroke etc. are somehow not natural deaths given that they are internal to the body. I'm a bit lost as to the point of any of this and was throwing a few lines out for general amusement. Incidentally, is 'external from the body' some sort of Americanism I'm unaware of? On this side of the pond we'd say 'external to the body'. Is it similar to your use of 'bring this to there', which I've never understood because we'd say 'bring it here' but 'take it there'? Spent ages in Skyrim not having a clue what they meant by bring this to so and so, "bring"? I'm already here. It's already here. No, I don't have anything better to do right now, I've been locked within the same four walls for the better part of a year.

1 pointS. Clay Wilson, and underground cartoonist notable for his violent and sexually explicit depictions has died aged 79, says his wife on twitter. Was picked a couple of times for deadpools in the past due to a brain injury in 2008, which he never fully recovered from.

1 pointAnd he takes the lead! I wish Hulka had the tentative points for youngest hit listed in the standings as well, only a couple ahead of mr ao himself.

1 pointFormer California congressman (1974–1993) Robert J. Lagomarsino (wiki) supposedly dead at 94. Nothing on the Twitter or FB. Found a photo of him on Twitter from October where he looked pretty frail so probably true.

1 pointJust had my first jab, Oxford/Astra Zeneca, at the weekend. Felt not so bright on Sunday/Monday morning as my immune system kicked in but by dinner felt much brighter. A couple of days of feeling shit versus potential Covid death seems like a reasonable trade off.

1 pointYes, I've been in the habit of keeping the commemorative £2 and 50p coins that pop up in my change. They mount up, so there's a little nest egg there should I fall on harder times. There's still a few I haven't found - not counting the absolute deluge of child-orientated 50p coins over the last 2 or 3 years. One Peter Rabbit coin was fine, but they've taken the piss now. I do miss examining my change. It was a harmless little bit of excitement seeing if the 50p in your change was a Kew Gardens.

1 pointI saw this pop up in the news headlines and noted the Daily Mail Online called Laurence Fox a 'Free Speech Campaigner', when presumably they meant 'Massive Cunt'.

1 pointIf you ever check the comments on the Royal Mint facebook page you will see the main gripe of collectors is that these days they actually mint coins that will never be circulated. The thing that bugs me is you often get some really good designs and they stick them on the gold and platinum coins which nobody in their right mind can actually afford. And then they stick shite designs on the base metal to silver strikes.
