2 pointsThree names get added to the list for @msc @Death Impendshas more hits so holds on to Solange Berry but Nora Nova is currently a tie with @AnfearBaeg so this is when non winning hits become important. This is getting very interesting and has moved faster than the earlier rounds though it has slowed in the past few weeks

1 pointFuck's sake - I didn't consider you would even contemplate doing bios for that lot.

1 pointI see you noted Lord Christopher's absence too. Lord Clarke (Labour, 89, not Ken) went on one last week too. Also Derry Irvine was a regular voter in the Lords until the pandemic started and has just gone on a leave of absence last month?
-
1 pointSpeaking of ill Lords... worth taking note of these names for deadpooling purposes (though granted, a bit of a shot in the dark): Parliament is prorogued today, early afternoon to be precise, marking the end of this parliamentary session. Two peers are set to be expelled for not attending a single sitting in the last quarter: Lord Rogers of Riverside – Labour life peer, better known as Richard Rogers, a very prominent Italian-British architect. 88 in July. Lord Selsdon – Tory hereditary, member of the House since 1963(!), 84 in October Additionally, another two were set to be expelled today for the same reasons, but they got a special "leave of absence" granted last night enabling them to stay on in absentia. They are: Lord Lawson of Blaby – Tory life peer and former Chancellor, better known as Nigel Lawson. Turned 89 last month. Lord Hanningfield – Non-affiilated peer, former leader of Essex Council and all round crook. Turns 81 in September. Good chance several of them are poorly. I'll see if I can get any more info.

1 pointGot to love these comments on LibDem leaders from Lord Smith who couldn't even get elected to the House of Commons - what a prick he sounds:

1 pointLord Smith of Clifton (wiki), Lib Dem life peer and member of the House of Lords (1997–2019), dead from septicaemia, aged 83. Also the former spokesperson for the Lib Dems on Northern Ireland, and Vice Chancellor of the University of Ulster from 1991 to 1999. Times obituary.

1 pointSo now that Collins is dead, Aldrin is now the only one still alive of the crew to Apollo 11. So I think he should be in the 2022 list and forward if he is still around when the year ends, so we can have at least one of the Apollo 11 astronauts pn the list Imo.

1 pointElections are not fought or won on Twitter – it's an echo chamber composed of cliques of people who by-in-large keep their "bubbles" comforting and insular by only following/being followed by folk with the same views/interests as them. If you went off what Twitter was saying in 2017 and 2019, you'd have expected Corbyn to have won 2 landslides. On the contrary, a new poll on "Preferred PM" released today by BMGResearch has Boris up 5 points, Starmer down 4. It's almost as if our mainstream media is once again so out of touch they don't realise that nobody gives a flying fuck who paid for that flat renovation, as long as it wasn't the taxpayer!

1 pointI first published this list back in 2016, thought I'd bring it back up to present given Collins's death and the new interest. List of prominent early astronauts (US): 1. Alan Shepard - Apollo 14, b.1923, d.1998 6. Edgar Mitchell - Apollo 14, b.1930, d.2016 7. David Scott - Apollo 15, b.1932 (aged 88) 8. James Irwin - Apollo 15, b.1930, d.1991 9. John W. The only others were: James A. McDivitt - also part of Apollo 9, b.1929 (aged 91) Edward H. White - first American to walk in space, b.1930, d.1967 Early Apollo missions Roger B.
