Herb Alpert is an American trumpeter that has had 5 number 1 albums in the billboard chart, 9 grammys, 14 platinum albums, 15 gold albums and has sold over 72 million records worldwide. He founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss and signed acts such as The Police, Janet Jackson, The Carpenters, Burt Bacharach and many more. Alpert turns 87 this year, he has been mentioned a few times in the forums, he is a DDP pick and this thread could also work to report the deaths of members of the Tijuana Brass.

I was only about 8 months old for the silver, but I have seen the slides of the street party. It looked fun. I was living in Germany for the Golden so I missed that. I don't remember the diamond but I don't remember in being widely celebrated here on Mona's Isle. One thing I remember for the Golden was a friend of mine telling me that her nieces, who were around 5 and 6 had misunderstood what it was all about and were in their front garden waving little union flags and shouting 'The Queen Mother is dead, The Queen Mother is dead'. One of them had an obsession with drawing pictures of the Queen Mum in her coffin too and I often find myself wondering what their forum names in here are.

Gerhard Richter, the world's most valuable (and the market is always right?) classical artist, turns 90 today (): https://www.dw.com/en/artist-gerhard-richter-at-90/a-60694533 He would be an unusual, but also justified entry for the DeathList. There are no real news on his health though, at first glance. He's also a bit reclusive. In other news, German Schlagerstar and top name on the Majorca booze circuit, Mickie Krause, has bladder cancer: https://www.n-tv.de/leute/Mickie-Krause-hat-Blasenkrebs-article23114636.html It was discovered while he was preparing for a cancer benefit TV show...good timing.

*He (article states that at time of death, Ventress went by he/him). Well he transitioned into another gender, and now he's transitioned from life. At least he was consistent. Article states he committed suicide. The 11th person to die after appearing on My 600 Lb Life, and he won't be the last.

Given the apparent fragile state of his mental health, how do we think Prince Harry will cope knowing his grandfather died regarding him as a great disappointment? If dying wasn’t bad enough, imagine dying knowing your life’s work and achievements were being tarnished by your own grandson and his tart of a wife. I hope he comes the funeral and further hope that when he gets to the bottom of the steps off the plane, there is someone at waiting with a large pair of scissors to cut the medals off his chest. Do we think he might top himself?

It is worrying, as I know someone who feels the same and won't hear a word against him. In all other respects a sensible and wise person whose advice I would usually trust.

https://japantoday.com/category/national/Princess-Yoko-hospitalized-with-COVID-develops-pneumonia She's developed Covid pneumonia. Should be noted that she's pretty young (only 38). However, her father and two uncles all had significant health issues and died pretty young (father + one uncle in their 60s, second uncle in his 40s), so it might be an indication of underlying health concerns, though this is me just making a guess.

Popular American skateboarder and social media influencer Josh Neuman was among the four victims of a small plane crash in Iceland, his family and local authorities confirmed. Neuman's family said in a statement on Monday that the 22-year-old died "doing what he loved," noting he had just experienced Iceland's northern lights in what he called "the happiest day of [his] life." (I'm guessing not) He was on a sightseeing flight to create commercial content for the Belgian streetwear brand Suspicious Antwerp, according to The Associated Press. The company confirmed that the occupants of the plane — which had been missing since Thursday — were a Suspicious Antwerp employee, an Icelandic pilot and "two content creators." The AP reports that the other victims were Suspicious Antwerp sponsorship manager Tim Alings, 27; Belgian skydiver and influencer Nicola Bellavia, 32; and 49-year-old Haraldur Diego, a prominent aviator and pioneer of photography tours. After all, he's 70 years old already. I think he looks actually good. He tries to look younger to present the required shock-jock machismo, and that can only go so far.

Yes, I guess that's the crux of the matter. The p increases, which means, people get closer to the end the more time passes (with or without cancer). And pancreatic cancer can move very fast once it moves. Also, Shintaro Ishihara was already old, so I think picking him for 2022 might have been roughly a 50:50 bet. Edit: Maybe a little lower because I didn't think he'd obit with absolute certainty.
