Just finished watching the new Knives Out sequel on Netflix and I find it absolutely hilarious that the final film role for one of the most acclaimed actresses of a generation persists of her having to explain the rules of Among Us over a zoom call to Daniel Craig while he sits in a bathtub.

After hearing his improvement and seeing that recent photo (also seen it on another article dated as 8th December), I’d now have to agree he deserves to be discarded alongside sensible drops Law, Crosby, Gambon and Berlusconi.

He was hospitalized in the beginning of the year after suffering a stroke (which causes his left eyes to be half closed since then). He can’t walk anymore and uses a wealchair (see first photo of this page). He has lost some weight and seems pretty reddish in this last video. you can compared with this random video from 3 years ago for example. Not in the same shape.

I think he should be dropped. Firstly, so Lafaucheuse can go on one of his French nationalistic rants about French people and how big they are in France, and asking where all the French entries are. Secondly, because I think he's a weak candidate. For me, he fails every single criteria for including a nonagenarian on DL: Sounding frail/broken voice: NOPE Struggling to walk unaided: NOPE Looking pale/discolouration of the skin: NOPE Noticeable weight loss: NOPE Series of recent hospitalisations: NOPE Given that he's in his 90s, sure, he could die next year, but with 100s of names to choose from, there are far more frail octogenarians and nonagenarians that would serve a better place on DL.

Calling Edith Ballantyne Czech is a bit of a stretch. She was a Czech born German who lived in the Czech Sudetenland, and fled in 1938.(birth name Muller). After that got married to a Canadian and seem to spend most of her life on the gravy train of UN organizations living off the taxpayer in Geneva. I very much doubt she can speak Czech, she was almost certainly brought up speaking German.

Quick open the interesting threads then click read forum and avoid boring/conspiracy/Meghan/etc ones. Oh and that game about shagging which I assumed was a @Gooseberry Crumble thread on general principle!

I read some obituaries of the other ones and they mostly said "died after illness and treatment" or "died after illness and ineffective treatment". These are all just easy ways to be without giving a proper death cause.

The topic seems too broad, as so many headlines say ‘legend’ 1) cuz lazy journalism or 2) because they ARE legends, but the area of expertise is niche at best. It is the latter reason I would be afraid to continue this thread, imho. Just because @Skinny kiltrunner or Sir Creep doesn’t know who the legends are in making green Chinese pottery doesn’t mean those who make green Chinese pottery don’t, and no reason to insult those who are part of that niche group.
