2 pointsAnother veteran German actress has died: Maria Sebaldt at age 92 on April 4th. She is best known for starring in 80s TV series like "Ich heirate eine Familie" and "Die Wicherts von nebenan". I always liked her and her acting characters. R.I.P. https://www.gala.de/stars/news/maria-sebaldt------der--ich-heirate-eine-familie--star-ist-gestorben-23050718.html

2 pointsThat is not the issue. He is dying, which was not the case before. I can understand why Biden's schedule might be disrupted. For the past decade as you say, he could have died at any time indeed but there was nothing to suggest it, unlike now. As for the queen, George VI was "well enough" to wave goodbye to his daughter on the 31st of January and died on the 6th of February. I suspect that people thought he had a little more time to come + royal family's engagement were much more important (especially the common wealth trip) at that time than Biden's trip these days. He could have easily canceled his trip if he'd known that Carter was on his deathbed. It can't be compared imo. + G.H.W Bush could have died anytime, which, I think, is the reason why Donald Trump flew overseas. But you're right, it takes a little time between the announcement of his passing and his burial so I guess even if he does die during Biden's trip, he would still be home for the official ceremony.

2 pointsGeorge W Bush was abroad when Reagan died to commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-day. Presidents don`t cancel major trips just because their predecessor is on their last legs. It makes no difference where in the world you are especially in terms of addressing the nation as can be done technologically and that address will already be planned and ready to go.

1 pointyeah, the media's obsession with this is strange to me. biden's not his nurse. carter's death will have nothing to do with Constitutional implications. Carter is not some type of religion that requires immediate burial; he'll be lying in state. as everyone knows here, then-princess elizabeth was in africa when her father died, and that at least had some implications. i mean could you imagine if for the past decade, no president was allowed overseas as carter could die at any time??

1 pointTrump was in Argentina when G H W Bush died. Nobody would cancel a major trip in case someone died when they not close enough to be at the death bed only for them of course to then not die at that point.

1 pointAs I'm not running any pools next year (I've earned the rest I feel, plus it'll give me more free time to be really bad at Slay the Spire), I might run a Crowdsourced Wrestler Deathlist. I think we have enough learn'd fans of the graps here to make that worthwhile.

1 pointMichael Lerner gives @DeathByArsenic their first hit but it is the second unique of the game and they have enough uniques to be a contender in this way so the competition is warming up but no-one is yet in a winning position

1 pointUnfortunately yes. Even though it's probably what he enjoys doing, From The Jam are essentially a Jam cover band. It just seems a bit odd to appear in a cover band that he was one of the driving forces behind. He was good with SLF although I wasn't that enamoured with the 3 albums they released during the 15 years he was in SLF. There are lots of bands who are reduced to one original member. I guess he would still like to be in The Jam, but can't use the name. I keep meaning to catch them as they seem to be performing at a venue somewhere near me every year. As we all know, the money's all in live gigging these days. Does he perform any new material with FTJ? "Back In The Room" was done with the line-up from FTJ, but released as a solo album by Bruce Foxton.
