This has been the easiest pool to run in the history of this site, I think. Last year it felt like I was typing obits into the thread every six hours.

There's a great story on the BBC feed dedicated to him that he wasn't originally meant to be on Strictly. Bruno, Arlene and Craig were meant to be joined by a "big name in the dance world" but they dropped out days before the start date. No one else they'd seen had been suitable, so they asked the pros if they'd missed anyone. It was Erin Boag who said "Have you tried Len Goodman? He's just a dance teacher but he's got a funny way about him." The rest is history. Talk about a sliding doors moment! A proper old school gent. RIP, Len.

Hello Killers and Saviours, here it it: Our third Grand Final, this time about the UK No.1-songs of the 90s! It was a big round with over 60 songs in 1998/99 to kill or to save. At least we did it and first of all the Killer Queen has to be crowned. No surprise, it's @theoldlady again!!! Well done! 12 theoldlady 8 Youth in Asia 5 En Passant 4 DoltonMoney 4 Paul Bearer 3 Bibliogryphon 2 Drewsky1211 2 ladyfiona 2 Root Inspector 2 RoverAndOut 2 Sir Creep 1 BuffaloPhil 1 Captain Chorizo 1 Clorox Bleachman 1 Great Uncle Bulgaria 1 Imelda 1 justonecornetto 1 lilham 1 msc 1 prussianblue 1 RIP Wee Jum 1 time 1 TQR Attention! New rule: The day of the voting is now always given before the voting, so that it is obvious that you only voted once a day. Due to the different time zones in which we live, it is sometimes not entirely clear whether someone has already voted. Let's just test this with the date specification. From now on, only the exact date applies, NOT the statement "my voting from today". Voting without an exact date will NOT be counted. Likewise, linguistically changed votings are NOT counted. Otherwise, I would like to thank all the players who are a bit careful and attentive! Thanks very much! And now: Let's kill and let's save, this is the third Grand Final!!! The Grand Final: Voting for: ... 20 Ace of Base – All that she wants 20 Adamski – Killer 20 B*Witched – C´est la vie 20 Britney Spears - ... baby, one more time 20 Coolio ft. L.V. – Gangsta´s Paradise 20 Cornershop – Brimful of Asha 20 Fatboy Slim – Praise you 20 Jamiroquai – Deeper Underground 20 Livin´ Joy – Dreamer 20 Madonna – Frozen 20 Madonna – Vogue 20 Manic Street Preachers – If you tolerate this, your children will be next 20 No Doubt – Don´t speak 20 Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody/These are the days of our lives 20 Shakespear's Sister – Stay 20 Spice Girls – Wannabe 20 Take That – Back for good 20 Tasmin Archer – Sleeping Satellite 20 The Beautiful South – A little time 20 The Fugees – Killing me softly 20 The Prodigy – Firestarter 20 The Shamen – Ebeneezer Goode 20 The Verve – The drugs don´t work 20 Whigfield – Saturday Night 20 White Town – Your Woman Out of 25 songs I really like 16 so for me it's really a great Grand Final! Well chosen! But there only can be one winner!!!

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died on this day 21 years ago, aged 30. - Lopes formed a musical trio with her siblings at the age of 10, which performed gospel songs. - Lopes moved to Atlanta in 1990 with just $750 and a keyboard. She soon answered a record producers' call looking for members to form a band with one of his clients. The group was called "2nd Nature"- but was soon renamed "TLC" after the first initials of the singers' nicknames. - During her time with the band, Lopes was in an unhealthy relationship with NFL player Andre Rison- the breaking point was when Lopes burned his tennis shoes in their fiberglass bathtub, which damaged the structure of his house and led to her getting arrested for arson, leading to five years of probation. The two (surprisingly) eventually reconciled. - Lopes would often have rap solos in TLC's songs, most notably in "Waterfalls", "No Scrubs", and "Creep". - Lopes began going solo in 1998 (albeit still being a part of TLC), creating her own talent agency, and mentored the band Blaque. - Lopes was the host of the musical competition show The Cut- which was cancelled after one season. - Lopes died during a spiritual retreat to Honduras (in which she was filming an autobiographical documentary) when she drove off the road to avoid an oncoming vehicle. - Her rap verse from "Waterfalls" was engraved on both her casket and gravestone:
