According to Fox10 Phoenix, Philippine native who later emigrated to the United States, Thomas Mayor, who was reported to be the last living survivor of the infamous Bataan Death March, died just 3 days ago on the 15th of this year, but through thorough research, I found out that he is not the very last as reported, as there are two other Filipino Bataan Death March survivors still alive that i know of, that being Lt. Nino A. Sylmar (1925-) and Lt. George Bach (1926-). https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/world-war-ii-veteran-remembered-mesa-family-honors-life-of-patriarch-who-survived-bataan-death-march https://www.southwesttimes.com/news/local-veteran-recognized-service http://www.positivelyfilipino.com/magazine/partner-keeping-stories-of-filipino-world-war-ii-veterans-alive-in-white-sands

Is this a new game of "Spot the Grave"? I'll give it a go. My guess is a bit obvious though - where the ground looks to have been disturbed:

Perhaps not as a Senator, but probably as a living human being. For reference, that friend was Representative Ellen Tauscher of California, who has been dead since 2019.

The New York Times is reporting that, to no surprise, her recent illness was much worse than her office reported: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/18/us/politics/feinstein-illness-shingles-senate.html Key points: Her shingles infection spread widely to her face and neck, causing the partial paralysis of her face with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The infection also caused swelling in her brain (encephalitis), making her memory loss even worse. Basically everyone around her has totally given up any hope she will choose to resign. The article suggests that were only two people who could have possibly convinced her otherwise (her husband and a former colleague), but they're both dead. There are still 18 months left in her term.

Wether we agree with her position or not, once had to respect that investment for her cause. the only question is : will she reach the end of her term ?

I don’t care what we do so long as the 2009 rightful champion ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by Black Eyed Peas wins. 14 weeks #1 in US. 2 weeks #1 in UK. #1 in 20 countries. #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 decade-end chart. #8 on the all-time chart. 3rd most successful song of the decade in Australia. Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Nominated for Song of the Year at the 2010 World Music Awards. The first song in digital history to sell over seven million digital copies in the United States. The most downloaded song on the iTunes Store of all time. The highest-selling digital (non-charity) single in the US ever.

I never pictured Dylan as a guy who would hang with the ‘born again’ crowd. Who knew?

Had one of these this week, and when I said "hello," I overheard "oh it's the wife." I've been on a family cell phone plan for a couple decades, so this was definitely another call for my dad, so I hung up. You can't just call every woman who answers the Mrs!

A lot of decent #2's were denied #1 by a big steaming pile of #2's that did make #1. Though there were also quite a lot of #2's that were also clearly #2's and deserved it. Ah, that feels much better now.

Pas mal aussi le genre de profils qui fait penser à la bande de Belmondo dont presque personne n'a passé les 90 ans... Dedans y a-t-il des noms qui vont moins bien? Jacques Perrin n'est pas très vieux par exemple

The Kress link wouldn't pass on Wikipedia as a reliable source. It looks like some kind of blog that just harvests information from social media. One of the giveaways being the incorrect use of English in the heading and the first line.

Sorry - but daughters rather than cordless phones are the problem. There is a button on the cordless phone holster that sets the phone off so that you can find it if lost. I have taken to pressing it in the early hours just to get revenge on the girls for keeping the phones in their rooms. I know............. its not big nor clever.

A trip to the supermarket has prompted me to revive this. It's those plastic bags that you rip from the shelves for fruit & veg. How are you supposed to get in to them? I rub them between both hands and nothing happens. Each one takes about five minutes before you get enough parting of the plastic to take a finger nail. By that time your fingers are getting numb and hypothermia is setting in from the fridges. I abandoned the will to live after a while and left some veggies. Another one: Cordless bloody phones. They seemed a good idea, no longer tied to one spot in the house but after a cordless 12 months we're going back to chords. At least then you know where the phone is. Since we have gone cordless barely half the calls we receive get answered. Instead there is the phone hunt with much shouting, accusations, punching and gouging etc before it rings off just as you reach it. Sorry, needed to get that off my chest.

Has Bruno been giving you lessons? Seriously, what is that? Did you write it before breakfest?
