Have considered Ruth Langford's mom by any chance? She is too old at the point tbh must be an immortal. @Deathrow66 knows more about this resource devouring old vampire than I do so I'll leave them explain.

Have you maybe considered that other people are dying out of kindness so Ruth Langsfords mom can continue living? Just saying if Ruth Langfords mom was tied to a train track and 45 small children were on the other train track I would let the train run over the kids. Heck, knowing myself I'd probably tie a few puppies to the track for shits and giggles. But that's not the point. The point is that Ruth Langfords mom is very important and others should kindly die so that she may live.

Well, it may only be the 1st of December but, bless him, Santa has already emptied his fulsome sack. Welcome to the ninth edition of Deathlist’s Musical Melee, Kill or Save…and it’s the Christmas Special! We’re used to trawling through the UK’s official music charts, eliminating songs round by round and then deciding the ultimate No. 1, 2, 3 or whatever from that decade. But this time, it’s a little different. No charts were involved (or indeed harmed) in the making of this. No year brackets are necessary here. This is your annual NOW Christmas album on roids, containing a fortuitous and definitely accidental 69 songs you might hear (some ad nauseam) at this, the most wonderful time of year. See, hidden, the complete list, with links to each song just in case you've somehow managed to dodge any of them. Look, I’ll just nip something in the knackers right now…I know this list doesn’t have every Christmas song in existence and so you might’ve thought of one or two that are missing. I also know they aren't all the original versions, that there are different covers of a lot of the songs here, and you might’ve preferred someone else’s version of the song. But rest assured, if you’re not happy with the selection here…you can fucking deal with it. Smash a Baileys down your gullet and cheer up. There’s always next year. Fancy reliving all the action? See below for links to all Kill or Save games to date: 50s No.1s; 60s No.1s; 70s No.1s; 80s No.1s; 90s No.1s; 00s No.1s; 10s No.1s 50s No.2s; 60s No.2s; 70s No.2s; 80s No.2s; 90s No.2s; 00s No.2s; 10s No.2s 70s No.3s; 80s No.3s; 90s No.3s (IN PLAY!) Christmas Special 2023 (you are here); Christmas Special 2024 This is going to be slightly different to normal, but before I get onto that, here’s a recap of the rules of Kill or Save: - Each song starts with 20 points (whether it deserves it or not). - You can only vote once a day. To avoid any time zone confusion, please put a date at the top of your scoring post (e.g. “Mon 25 Dec”, “25-12-2023”, whatever, as long as it’s clear and doesn’t just say “today” or some shit.) - Once a day, you can award 4 points to and subtract 6 from the songs of your choosing in the current round. You can split your daily +4 and -6 between as many songs as you like, it’s down to you. - Make sure you copy and paste the most recent voter’s scoreboard when you take your turn to score. For your own ease, ‘paste as plain text’ to get rid of the previous poster’s formatting. - Just to make it clear for everyone, please mark your scores after the song title and adjust the song’s points total as you go. Ideally make your scores bold too. As an example: 24 Kris Kringle — Right Up The Chimney +4 20 The Elves — Santa’s Holding Us Against Our Will 20 Whamageddon! — Last Christmas (Aw Shit I'm Out) 19 The Christmas Puddings — Grandma Got Drunk And Said Something Racist -1 16 Naughty List — Sack Full Of Coal 15 Billy Humbug — Reindeer Shit On The Patio -5 And of course, everyone makes mistakes sometimes, so here’s another shout out to all of our most careful and attentive players who help keep the game in order and go about correcting any errors that may arise. Glad tidings to you and your kin. And so, the game. Normally, we have five rounds, with around 5 qualifiers from each going through to the grand final. This time, however, we’re doing things a bit different. What we’ve got here is one giant super round, with all 69 songs in play from the off. I know, it’s a lot to skim through, but hey, we’ve got three and a half weeks to do this. It can’t be any worse than the opening rounds of the 00s No.1s game, surely? Sounds simple, then. But that’s not all, for there may be a couple of little surprises along the way...Also, crucually, when we get to the final 12 songs (cos days of Christmas innit…see, this ain’t just thrown together), their scores will all RESET to 20. Then it’ll be a final shootout to the end, when we’ll unequivocally and irrefutably name THE BEST CHRISTMAS SONG IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD…according to a little forum about the dead and dying. Finally, I’ve really enjoyed the extra competition that comes with not counting the kills and assists in this game, however there are a lot of songs to sort through here and we kind of have a deadline, so if it helps, I’ll restart the count. Of course, vote with your opinions, but, y’know, be mindful. And then, of course, at the end we’ll crown the Christmas Killer Queen (not taking bets on this) and Assist Angel. So here it is, Merry Christmas, everybody’s having fun. Look to the Kill or Save, it’s only just beguuuuuun…

The DeathList has already missed 2 James Bonds, it cannot afford to miss another (especially as Lazenby looks so rough at the moment).

One of the longest serving cast members of Britain's longest running broadcast serial drama ,103 year old actress June Spencer, also known as Peggy Archer/Woolley in Radio 4s The Archers . I think her age and her unique role and achievement in the above description makes June a very noteworthy candidate.

At this point with Barker and Kissinger gone, I wouldn't be surprised if Dick is going to stay at the number one spot until he goes. The only exception I can think of is if Jimmy Carter doesn't pass away in December.

What's your solution? Are you suggesting that Ruth Langsford should kill her own mother?!

Chevy Chase, Vince McMahon and Phil Colins are great names with legit and well documented health issues over the years. Toby Keith is a great one as well. The others are too American though. I am going to toss a few names. Jack Nicholson:Reclusive at this stage while his dementia is likely an exaggeration what isn't is the fact that he is 86 and morbidly obese. King Salman of Saudi Arabia:Around the same as Jack Nicholson. Leader of Saudi Arabia in name only since in actuality his son crown Prince Mohammad Salman has been running the show for quite some time owning to King Salmans ill health. Ryan O'Neil: One of Hollywood's biggest junkies back in the day is now nearing his mid 80s and has had heart issues in the past. Mathair Mohammad:Malaysian politician with a history of heart issues has made headlines in the UK before. Vanessa Redgrave: I don't know how she's still alive at this point.

Part of me is wondering - Did Jimmy Carter really last this long to outlive Rosalynn, or so Henry Kissinger wouldn’t outlive him?
  22. 2 points
I posted some pictures from the funeral, but I see that most were already in the thread. Not sure how to delete my message, so I'll just say it's really sad to see Jimmy Carter in such a state. There would be nothing more poetic than him joining his wife today or at least very shortly. They lived almost their entire lives together.

Who ? Nguyễn Côn: Although he did somehow last three more months after this was taken.
  24. 2 points
On a side note : quite a remarkable moment to witness a 99yo man, 10 month in hospice care attend his own wife Memorial in such a mediocre condition. Their love and his strengh are quite impressive. To show yourself in such a weak state takes strengh and resilience that, I think, only his love for Rosalynn can explain.

Still suprises me she's never made an appearence on the offical list.
