I once acted for a guy who was setting up a company to import cheap goods and sell them on internet. He'd been out to Fukuoka and met them and everything and happily had sent over his GBP50k payment in advance. I made a joke that if the k had been a v I'd have been a bit worried because he would have sent £50k to Fukuova. He duly was fucked over and the joke became less funny.

Starting 1 August 2019, terminally ill adults in New Jersey will now be able to ask for medical help to end their lives. In April, Gov. Phil Murphy signed the Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act. It allows adults with a prognosis of six months or less to live to get a prescription for life-ending medication. All over Twitter, death of former Nuts editor-at-large, longtime Guardian/Guardian guide contributor and former Countdown champion Pete Cashmore. A man I had many enjoyable conversations with and was proud to call a friend and inspiration. His suicide, frankly, doesn’t come as a surprise and hopefully he’s at peace writing 60-word takedowns of Paolo Nutini singles in the afterlife now.
