‘Waffle’ is wordy and meaningless drivel. Unfortunately it’s an integral part of politics.

I hear you, just off to the nearest bus stop full of pensioners to do my bit! I may be absent from here for a day or two.

Who is the least popular Tory contender with the public? That's my choice for next PM.

Milan Kundera occupies the same place in my mind as Robert Pirsig does. Robert Pirsig was also a DeathList entry and wrote "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". For some reason, I have always assumed Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" to be another Hippie / Beat generation classic, but now that I think about it, it isn't really the case? Anyway, I guess someone on the committee is big on literature and tries to push those "literary one-hit wonders" with their one "Must read" book. I've read neither though. Makes me wonder, who else might make the list eventually. Margaret Atwood? Alice Walker? Probably, eventually, Salman Rushdie.

Yeah, getting things done - a bit like Truss distancing herself from a previous Boris party by saying she was busy "doing deals for Britain." Meanwhile, unusually for Bojo he's been "spotted in the tea rooms" of the Houses of Parliament (i.e. trying to shore up his shakey support). And The Good Law Project are on the case asking why the police aren't on the case re the 20 May party. More time to write books, soon, then

Dick is as culpable as the rest of them; probably toeing the party line waiting for that peerage. (Me cynical? As if...)

So, I heard something on Channel 4 News last night that the BBC haven't mentioned, apparently the No.10 garden is under permanent CCTV monitoring by the Metropolitan Police. So, they watched 30 people blatantly committing a crime in 2020 and didn't think to do owt, then? Or did Channel 4 News get that wrong? Anyone know?

If it were true, TMZ would have been all over it by now.

Of all the SP references, the episode where they rip on Honey Boo Boo (and she gets a pig heart transplant) is definitely the most apt here

We have the most self-serving and corrupt Government within living memory, and the pandemic gave them the opportunity to get their snouts further into the trough and make millions for themselves and their friends. That's all there is to it.

Surely he's famous only for being ill? Therefore he could not be considered for the DL.

If he does have to resign, do you think they will give him leaving drinks in the No. 10 garden? Surely a fitting end to his premiership...

My favourite happening from this year’s submission process was someone who may or may not be a forum member submitting their monthly household budget in the attached excel sheet rather than their DDP team. Very detailed and multi coloured it was too!

I love how you think he is competent enough to write a book. If he drew this he would concider it a master piece
