    Somehow he won't be the oldest person on Days of our Lives this year. Bill Hayes, who turns 98 in June, was in 3 episodes in February portraying Satan personified in the form of his character Doug Williams.

Gyalo Thondup, Dalai Lama's brother, unofficial envoy and Prime Minister of the Central Tibetan Administration 1991-1993 this month: Either 94 or 96 this year, notable for other reasons than being the Lama's brother too (CIA asset in the 1950s, good friend of Chiang Kai-shek, had talks with Deng Xiaoping in the 1970s)

    I really wouldn't be surprised if she outlives Timothy. He looks about 20 years older than her every time I see the pair of them together.

    And by referring to Mullen as their oldest surviving player, this rules out Graham Miller as being alive. They would have mentioned him if he were alive as he also played in their first season. John Scott - 10 days older than Mullen - and definitely still alive as per Cumbria Golf Union, played for Workington before they were in the football league.

    Doing some reseach on another topic, I just realised that today in 1945, so 69 years ago, Heinrich Himmler topped himself by swallowing cyanide, aged 44. Himmler is the bloke in the middle with glasses. regards, Hein
