Judging by how he looked at his funeral, I would say that he looks very wrinkly and crinkly. He's a good pick for 2024.

Gonna say Pope Benedict XVI is probably the worst pick of 2024.
  4. 11 points
They make it a bit too easy for themselves by nominating Pope Benedict, a dead guy.

My own lists would have done much better if I knew this kind of thing was allowed.

Going to unhide the masterlist posts early tomorrow my time (or midday UK time). I thought there would be fewer teams this time, but the tally of 59 slenderly outdid last year's 57. Here's all the teams I entered. If you don't see your name here please let me know. A well deserved No.1 spot

Man, the committee deserves some kind of medal if they, after snubbing her year after year after year, were to get a hit with her on their first attempt.

Buzz, finally an astronaut on DL Good list, most I've agreed with the drops in some time. Avoiding Attenborough is really playing with fire though.
  11. 7 points
Bit surprised that Shannen Doherty didn't return.
  12. 7 points
Hopefully if Tom Baker dies they don't replace him with Peter Davison...

Looks promising! I've heard that spot 5, 6 and 7 might just be MC Ren and Superstar Billy Graham, but we'll see.

I have a very bad feeling about Sir David Attenborough's omission from the 2024 list... I hope to be proven wrong. Of course, we all want him to make it to 2025, as he's an international treasure, but he'll be turning 98 in May...

Surprised i'd have replaced have kept Yoko Ono in replacement of Pope Francis honestly. I think he has a few more years in him
  16. 6 points
Great list but I would've picked Attenborough. He's too big of a miss.
  17. 6 points
Just in case people miss this inspired no.5 in the morning

Thank you for a very successful DL 2023! Well done, the result is really great!

So glad she finally made it on.

No Attenborough again is surprising, they must really not want him as a hit. Dropping Ono is risky. Solid list otherwise. The new generation is here and it's a damn good one.

Bugner, Beckenbauer, Tom Baker, Sly Stone, Buzz Aldrin, Ted Turner, Brigitte Bardot, Fritzl, Flack, Rantzen, Barenboim, Brokaw, Julie Walters, Blix, Gene Hackman, Draper, Clint Eastwood, Patricia Routledge, Glynis Johns, the Pope (Francis I assume!). On paper that's the greatest bunch of new picks in ages. My one grumble, not picking Davey Attenborough feels a bit risky.

Sorry, you can't make up for not taking him back then...

    great addition !!

Great to see Carter on No.1 and Cheney falling out of the Top 30. Beckenbauer and Glynis Johns are great inclusions.
