I saw him at the Birmingham Hippodrome on his Purple Van Man tour. I laughed myself a hernia. Best stand up ever IMO.

 

And amazing on panel shows too. He mastered all corners of comedy, and the outpouring of tributes from the comedy world today show how revered he was.

 

This news today has pissed me off. Big time. I feel like Iain.

“Cecilia” has been paying her tributes to both Sean Lock and Austin Mitchell on Twitter. One more death today may push her over the edge.

Phil Jerrod, a British stand-up comedian, has died. He was either 41 or 42. Jerrod died after a battle with cancer.

Only Mike Goddard and Pauline Daniels from the original show are interviewed. Both look good, but more interestingly there's a clip in there of the show's producer Johnnie Hamp (wiki) just before his 90th birthday (which was in the first half of this year). He's credited with giving The Beatles and Cilla Black some of their earliest TV spots. Will definitely QO everywhere.
