Worked to a laugh track on his shows iirc, pretty jarring when other shows were going for the live audience. Plus Channel 4 comes along promoting the alt comedy scene and even though he was funny and new to us, he looked immediately old fashioned and out of date. Doesn't seem to have harmed him though. Really kept him off my teams for a couple of years now, as wasn't sure he'd obit. But it's a quiet time for news, so he might. gcreptile 10,970 Posted January 6, 2023 Are the gallbladder problems connected with the cancer? I think we don't know the kind of cancer, just that it's stage 4 with a good prognosis. Gallbladder cancer stage 4 is pretty dangerous. Bladder cancer however is survivable. I'm currently thinking it's the latter.

Due the swollen lymph nodes and neck.If the cancer had spread from the gallbladder or bladder to the neck he would probably be dead as it would most likely have spread throughout the body to get to that point. Now, I’m no doctor but if they’re certain that he was dead before crashing then it sounds like his aorta may have ruptured, in which case he likely died instantly (Hollywood style if you like) so he wouldn’t have even known he was a goner. At least he didn’t suffer in any way.

Him and Whitehouse keep talking about they've probably only got another 5-10 years left on their fishing show and I keep thinking: "Steady on chaps, you're only in your mid-60s!" Ulitzer95 12,596 Posted February 19, 2023 I've updated the cast list for The Comedians again (see the spoiler below) to add a few names who were missing. Dennis Jones, the Bradford impressionist died in 1993. I've removed Jimmy Cricket because despite being listed on IMDb, he never appeared on the show. As for passings since my last update, Blackpool stand-up Tony Jo died from cancer in January 2022, aged just 70. Local obit and Jimmy Cricket posted a tribute to him on his website here. There's an obit for a Pat Tansey here from 2022, aged 70. I don't think it's him but I'm not certain. The individual died in Sunderland. Pat Tansey the comedian was Irish-born and lived in Bromsgrove, and according to a quick Google search was still performing in 2021. I'm amazed that Stevie Faye is still with us at 96 considering that he's been so frail for years. He must surely be the oldest living comedian of note in the UK now.
