Another alumni of the patty duke show, Eddie Applegate, is dead at 81: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/eddie-applegate-dead-patty-duke-939391

Not been a great year for that show.

As a former Latin scholar, I shuddered a little too.

Now the only Latin I normally see is on Strictly, mind. A lot of that makes me shudder too, he he.

Is this British Music Hall Society a reliable source? I've seen a few blueticks on Twitter deleting their RIP messages already, no news report and you'd have thought the BBC would be ready to swing into action the moment he stopped breathing.

Probably not the most reliable source, but can't see why they'd post it unless they thought he was dead. Wikipedia referenced that British Music Hall post which seems a bit lowbrow for a wiki reference. Like you I'd expect the BBC to be running around straight away in tribute.

Rather odd candidate for a death hoax though?

Well, if Wikipedia says its true, stop the presses...

(I think it's possible he is dead given some of the folk tweeting about, but nothing confirmed as yet - and not even the news first, check later news sites are going for it quite yet. Have patience, eh?)

Hmm. You pop down to the shops for 20 minutes...

He's on lists of mine, but I'm reluctant to go gung ho until there's an actual report.
