4 pointsThere was nothing strange about it, sadly Paul Hunter, who was a very young man and prolific snooker player died of cancer at the age of 27. It was a tragic end for such a young man and many of us on here respected that and many of us mourned him. In those days the DL was on the Google search engine. I found my way here in 2004 by googling Fay Wray. Unfortunately people were googling 'Paul Hunter death' and we were one of the top hits on Google. It escalated from there, there was a thread about him and his death and it got to the stage people were seeing the thread and tracing the DeathList to the Grim Reaper and finding out his real name, occupation, phone number and address, It got pretty bad for a while. After that the DL changed it's settings on Google to not be searched by the famous names we discuss, I believe some have slipped through the net. We are not a site that wishes death on anyone at all, that is not our raisons d'être we are a site that respects death and primarily is a social area. Guessing who might die next year? well plenty of people do, they talk about it in workplaces all over the word, we use this website to do so.

2 pointsSeven great football chants, how did I get this far in my life and not know the top one; utter classic!! 7. Leyton Orient fans have taken to diminutive but rather small winger Dean Cox in a big way since his arrival at Brisbane Road. The 5ft 4 midfielder is nicknamed ‘Tiny’ and the O’s fans sing this song to the fittingly traditional East End tune of ‘Knees up Mother Brown’: “We’ve got Tiny Cox / We’ve got Tiny Cox / We’ve got Tiny / We’ve got Tiny / We’ve got Tiny Cox” 6. Former Forest and Birmingham striker Stern John was the recipient of this superbly-clever chant – it wouldn’t have sounded out of place at a chess match, such was its intellect. This was sung to the tune of ‘Quartermaster’s Store’: “He’s big / He's fast / His first name should come last / Stern John / Stern John” 5. Bury striker Lenny John Lewis became a cult hero with a couple of goals from the bench. The Shakers fans sung this to the Italian opera tune ‘La Donna e Mobile’: “His name’s a department store / You know he’s gonna score” 4. Huddersfield Town sing this about their free-scoring striker Lee Novak to the tune of Sloop John B: “We’ve got Novak / We’ve got Nova-ak / Our carpets are filthy / We’ve got Novak” 3. Olympiakos fans chant this tune to their manager, former Newcastle advertising-hoarding-kicker, Temuri Ketsbaia, to the tune of ‘Sex on Fire’ by Kings of Leon: “Wooooooaaaah Temuri Ketsbaia” 2. I like this Celtic chant because it’s wrong on so many levels. First of all, Shunsuke Nakamura is Japanese so is less likely to eat a traditional Chinese dish. And as for his likely political allegiances, well… This is to the tune of Winter Wonderland: “There’s only one Nakamura / One Nakamura / He eats Chow Mein / He votes Sinn Fein / Walking in a Nakamura wonderland” 1.When Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram was revealed to be mildly schizophrenic, quick-witted fans chanted this to the tune of ‘Guantanamera’: “Two Andy Gorams / There’s only two Andy Gorams”

2 pointsI'm sick to bloody death of so called star Victoria Wood. No one here knows who cunt was. She isnt part of three of anything involving a mega star like Prince. SMH at pretending they are contemporaries. It's ok for you to post it and insult your own intelligence, don't insult mine. Note: no one has even posted Wood's obit in my DP cuz it would get flagged as irrelevant. Ok maybe not 'irrelevant' per se, but it bloody hasnt been and (seeing as I won't post it...) it won't be. And that with the knowledge I just posted the obit for the world's oldest dog. SC You seem to be suggesting the fact Victoria Wood, a comedienne with an exceptionally British humour, never broke America for obvious reasons, should somehow diminish her status in the UK. That's absurd - nobody knew about her cancer and she's a household name over here - she might not be a worldwide mega-star like Prince but her death has had a similar shock value in the UK - the place where this forum is based, lest you forget it. No-one in the US probably had a clue who Chris Woodhead was or who Sandy Gall and Cliff Michelmore are - that doesn't stop them being famous enough for a UK based Deathlist. If you want a DL where only worldwide megastars are accepted, then create your own site, this is a proudly British list and Victoria Wood was a household name in Britain. That's not to say she had the worldwide pull of a star like Prince, but she was a British star You just stick to your college presidents and basketball players, Sir Creep.

It also didn't hurt that Paul Hunter was damn good looking young man. I thought we were going to suffocate under a crowd of hysterical girls.

1 pointHe hasn't been absent that long? I was speaking to him a month and a half or so ago - which is less than you "disappeared" for. Maybe he got the same sentence? Maybe MH gas gone on holiday. Zorders was grounded by his mum Please, just for the sake of sparing us from your "jokes", kill yourself. Me Mum says can you use the Vaseline next time please ? And those Spiderman 'Y'-fronts have to go. Batman or go home. Many a time has my mother sent him home to change his underwear. Methinks Zorders will be going 'commando' next time he dons his Peppa Pig, pink-gimp mask.

1 pointhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36108133 In case anyone's curious as to what BBC link. They seem to share our general assessment on the forums recently, I'm starting to wonder if Nick Serpel is actually a DL user. Ironically I read that article as a way to kill time while I couldn't get on to the site, got half way down and burst into uncontrollable laughter as it suddenly dawned on me why I couldn't get on the site. I wonder if there's a DM article in this once they discover this site "The twisted interneters who predict the deaths of celebrities" Ah! that's it, of course. I was hoping it wasn't just me.

1 pointTo be honest, I don't remember you being a 'regular' poster at all. I get what you say but this place has always been the same. It was argumentative long before you or I came here and will be so long after we have gone. There is the odd one vile being here and the odd one or two who seem to have wild mood swings. Apart from that, the majority of us get on fine, I interact with who I want to and so do others. Lets not be under any illusions, this isn't some sort of Flower arrangement forum, you will either get into the flow or you will drown. There are some very good natured people here who, unlike me, don't act the arsewipe and they do perfectly fine because they know how to swim in the pond without being taken out by the pikes. If you cant manage that then don't post, its not like its the law to. This is no ordinary forum, that's why its good.
