OK I'm going for the big one. I am going to boldly (and maybe stupidly)predict that the 18tth and final death of 2017 will be none other than the Rev Billy Graham. Either on Christmas eve or Christmas day.(although I'll settle for sooner)

He may have shot the queen, but he didn't shoot no royalty...

Also: goodness, 18th Death of the Year thread. Never thought I'd actually see one of those.

17/50, the bar is set pretty high for next year.

Finally, my 8th hit on the DDP. Anyways, RIP King Michael.

Rip. Suprised he came this far.

17th hit! I think we will get one more hit before the year is out. December is definitely the dying season

RIP... lasted quite a while. Indeed an interesting historical curiosity. Two WW2 heads of state remain: Simeon of Bulgaria and the Dalai Lama of Tibet.

Another hit! Finally! It was almost sure a hit from him. Anyways RIP KING MICHAEL

Thread closed. Not entirely sure the condemnation is warranted; we all have to start somewhere and nobody has been hurt. Sadly the chances of a new member surviving to maturity on these forums is probably no greater than that of a turtle hatchling, but maybe Leon can be the turtle who bucks the trend, or something.

So I was ultimately right about the big hit in December... With his death, a great chunk of history is now gone... A great fighter too. Was expected to be the first one to go back in January but fought, against all odds, almost a whole year. Rest in peace your Majesty, at least you are not suffering anymore.

3/4 of this year's cancer "certs" are gone, only Leah remains. R.I.P. King Michael

Another hit for my main DDP team. I was so sure he'd go, he's not on any of my draft lists so far. Let the succession battle commence...

Hmm... is King Salman of Saudi Arabia worthy enough for the 2018 list? He will turn 82 this year and he isn't exactly the healthiest man in the world; he suffers from Alzheimer's and has had a stroke, and those might not even be his only health issues! And his brothers might want to oust him, too.

And have you been a MacMillan nurse for long, sir?

The operative word there. She's dying and has got a show called 'The Art of Living' coming up. That's risky.

Johnny Bobbitt, homeless person, age 34, who bought gasoline with his 20 dollars for a young woman who ran out of gas in a very dangerous section of Philadelphia USA. He told her to stay in her car and lock her doors, he went and got her gas and sent her on her way - she had no money to pay him! She went back later, found him, paid him back and started a go-fund me page to get him on his feet again. He is a true gentleman and person of the year in my book anyway. The young woman, Kate McClure, age 27, is herself also an outstanding person. She could have just paid him back and forget about it, but instead she decided to help him. They are the people of the year!

BREAKING NEWS: Another actress steps forward to accuse Kirk Douglas of sexual assault. "It was horrible", said Ms. Zeta-Jones, 48. "For some reason, he insisted that I call him (sugargrandaddy), and kept yelling (I'm Spartacus! I'm Spartacus!) after it was all over.", added the Welsh thespian. Never underestimate the imagination of tabloids.
