OK so it appears I forgot to update. Being my solo hit for DDP despite no obit, and he being in Houston, I looked and found the cemetery where his memorial service was held. Knowing I had to drive right past it on the way home, I stopped a few weeks ago to get a photo of his headstone for y'all, figured it would be amusing enough. So I talk to the person at the front desk who of course starts in why I want to see the grave, lol I say I knew Nabeel Qureshi from his preaching and just wanted to pay respects. So after going through a couple more people I finally get the skinny: "Sir (Creep), he indeed had a memorial service here, but the family took him to the east coast (of the U.S.) and that is where he is buried." Oh well, I tried. A for effort. Stalking the dead, it's what I do. SCreep

I don't think personally that Dick Van Dyke is a good choice. He was in fine fettle at Barbara Sinatras funeral a few months back and seemed in better condition than the average 90 year old. The ageing star at that funeral who did strike me as not looking too fine and not in great fettle at that funeral was Robert Wagner.

Buchanan and the other pre-Civil War prezzes are in disbelief that someone so new might be joining their historical ranks. Meanwhile Lincoln is wondering "How did I get shot and not that guy?" while Grant just wants another shot of whiskey (though he would've without Trump there anyway).

Think that one just got away with some of the Barnsley shares.

That's a popular myth. There has never been any tangible proof that Reagan had Alzheimer's while being in office except for some vague and unverified claims from his son. Besides, The Gipper had probably the best medical care in the world at the time and I'm sure SOMEONE out of the dozen of highly qualified doctors of his would have figured that out during his second term.

What did Julius Caesar say when he recognized Batman as one of his stabbers? – Et tu, Bruce?

To be more accurate - assuming anyone's looking at her for a time sensitive dead pool - the low life expectancy of care home residents in the UK owes something to the fact many families delay putting anyone in a home because the fees can be crippling. In June's case the availability of cash is likely to be less of an issue - so she may well have arrived in a fairly good state and be capable of outlasting the average life expectancy from that point.

A woman gets to marry her lover before she dies. A little bit of a spin on the typical cancer mum XYZ marries her husband before she dies, especially since she's part of the first lesbian couples married in Australia...

What about Carmel McSharry? 92 years old, in a nursing home after breaking her hip and ankle in October. I'd like to think she's had enough of a career to get an obit.

I suspect we might be slightly different politically (dunno what gave it away really ) but even from my centrist spot, I've always had some respect for McCain, even if he is a bit flawed at times. He survived as POW, and was on the right side of history on a few big political issues. Also wrong on others, but meh, no one is perfect.

Hey, with their songs including When I'm Gone, If I Make it through December, To Say Goodbye and I'm Gonna Be (on the DDP),it was as if she was trying to give us a clue.

Immunologist William Frankland is 106 in March and looked as though he had recently cut his head at this evening's rememberence service.Still looks good otherwise though but 106 is a hell of an age for a man.He popularised the use of the pollen count and was an assistant to Alexander Fleming so I would say is notable enough for DL.

Similar problem, different outcome. Called BT on Saturday telling them no broadband. They arranged for an engineer to come out this morning. Broadband up and running.
