3 pointsBanks. Nat West in particular. I spent a fruitless 20 mins on the phone trying to amend a standing order only to be told- you need your Nat West mini device to allow me to do that over the phone. So instead I then had to drive 15 mins across the City to a branch - the last branch not in the City Centre. Got to the branch signs up saying it’s closing next month. Woman on the counter was rude no name badge , wouldn’t order me a mini device. I was so fed up I walked out the branch into TSB next door who confirmed with some pride that this branch wouldn’t be closing, yes you can amend standing orders over the phone and I can switch my accounts in 7 days with no loss of service to myself nor my SOs and DDs. Well done Nat West. 17 years of loyalty down the drain. And more importantly well done TSB for making banking suddenly seem much easier again

1 pointI've decided to start a thread for 77 year old glamour puss and actress Raquel Welch. Not just because I think she is deserving and has more than enough name recognition to warrant her own thread but because she has unusually stopped posting on all of her social media accounts twitter, Instagram and Facebook four months ago. This is making me suspect something may well seriously be amiss with her health wise. Naturally there could be a reasonable alternative explanation but I suspect otherwise and think it is worth flagging up. Gorgeous picture is from her breakout film role that jumpstarted her career.

1 pointhttps://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/lifestyle/country-legend-kenny-rogers-cuts-short-farewell-tour-10105938 Given the announcement that American country and western singer Kenny Rogers has had to cut short his farewell tour due to health challenges .I thought it was high time this big name star of country and western music had his own thread .He certainly deserves one . Yes they are playing down the seriousness of these health challenges but I think it is a timely reminder that its about time he had his own thread .

1 pointMy extra comments in bold. "Fun" vague fact: A long time ago, I contributed to the same book as one of the above. The book is long out of print and thankfully forgotten!

1 pointThere's two bands with variations on that name: Firstly, Spirogyra, a UK acid-folk act associated with the Canterbury Scene. They put out three albums in the early 1970s to little success, and reformed a few year ago. Barbara Gaskin was the most notable member. Secondly Spiro Gyra, the US jazz fusion act. Former around the time the other act folded for the first time, still going. Had a big hit in the late 1970s with Morning Dance.

1 pointI've thought it for a while but it was only recent events that prompted me to turn thoughts into action like I did when Loretta Lynn had her stroke. It was @YoungWillzupdate on his health that was the nudge actually not your post which just confirmed my own feelings.

1 pointBarry Maguire, 83 this year and his website hasn't been updated for a while. Just thought I'd mention him, because I've heard a rumour is quite unwell at the moment, perhaps even on the eve of destruction...

1 pointHe gonna take time off to find out what condition his condition is in. Kenny Rogers is certainly deserving of his own thread at this point, should someone have interest. SC
