4 pointsAlthough the deadpooling fuels my competitive nature (and it's a lot easier to win at than fantasy football), I'm really here for the dead celebs. The kind of excellent cadavers (good name for a DDP team?) I like are the character actors, the forgotten wrestlers, the people who had their moment of fame 40 years ago. I've said it before: you cannot be good at this game if you just view picks as numbers, you have to be invested in them as entities.

3 pointsAs @Joey Russ mentioned in the pop thread, these two giants of the music scene probably deserve a thread of their own. Simon is about to stop touring and Garfunkel is a genuine eccentric, always coming up with stuff to keep us amused. I wouldn't like to guess which one will go first, but feel it is right that we have a thread in place as they progress into their autumn years.

3 pointsHey, what other forums can you have informative posts like this: next to (possibly bad taste) gags like this: Next to genuine appreciation from usually at least one regular on most of the folk who pass - more so than the press usually Next to the group support stuff (which sort of sprung up), the in-jokes, the ability to pun on any persons career, and of course, the recommendations: But really, if all else fails, there's the insanity: Anyhow, now I've forgotten my point - I just wanted an excuse to link to the Hofman post again tbh.

2 pointsHe's going to Harry's wedding tomorrow I hear. Just as long as nobody asks whether anyone knows of any good cause or reason why they may not be wed, we should be fine....

1 pointJoey normally when I see you have posted in a thread I do expect there to be real information. Occasionally you do correct other people but that is an understandable urge. I came here for information. I was running a works Deathlist game this site gives me information hot of the press. I do like lists and all the games. Joker's Deadpool is one of my favourites along with 20/20. I will probably never win apart from my Inverse Deadpool triumph but it is a lot of fun here. My interest here is really linked back to my childhood. My mother died at the age of 47 when I was 9 and so I am morbidly fascinated by longevity and memory. A lot of people discussed on here are no longer in the public eye but we are not just focussed on their health but their contributions.

1 pointI just can't seem to get myself to leave this site, so the resistance of me posting did not last too long for those of you hoping I'd leave for a while. However, I do know that I really need to reduce the amount of posts I make per day, and there's one thing that I keep hiding that I think may help you guys understand one reason that I can't seem to quit posting too often no matter how much I want to reduce. As many of you know, I suffer from major depression and anxiety, which is constantly bringing my mood down, and for me posting is a bit of a relief from my suffering. However, what none of you don't know (though I wouldn't be surprised if some people suspected it) is that I am also on the autism spectrum. I struggle to pick up many social queues in life, and just like my everyday life, I think I also struggled with some social queues on here, especially in my early days. So unfortunately, I don't really know how to communicate with people that well. Now, that's not to say that I don't have any close friends, but I really do struggle to communicate with those people that I know that they care for me, and that may be part of the reason why I spend way too much time on this site and other dead pooling activities. I know the amount of time I spend on dead pooling is unhealthy, and it may be part of the reason why even when a big gamble has gone successful (like when the Jacqui Forster unique went through), I typically get very few (if any) congratulations, though truthfully, I don't really need any congratulations. Now, I know a few of you will go to the conclusion of it being part of the Zorders act, but for those of you who do think I'm my age, I hope some of you may try and help me reduce the amount of shitty posts I make. While I don't want to be the most successful poster in the world, I do feel that the wording of many of my posts seem either very arrogant or, in some cases, somewhat harmful, and if any of you ever got offended at any one of my posts at any point since I joined the forum, then I would like to apologize to those people. I just don't know what else to do at this point in my life, and I'm not sure what the future holds for me...

1 pointLooking too much isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I also wondered about Harry’s parentage until it was evidenced that she didn’t even meet that ginger spiv until after Harry was born. But to be honest and with the utmost respect, the bit about William and Harry not getting on is absolute bunkum, if you’ll pardon my French!

1 point*sigh* Only so much I can take. "Conservative Councils cost you less than Labour" - Theresa May, 2018 pre-Council elections. Grenfell disaster caused by penny pinching Conservative Council. Not only that, but now every taxpayer in the country is paying for it through re-cladding tower blocks across the country. Jeremy Hunt apologises for breast cancer screening debacle. He will have to apologise again as it's just been discovered the same thing happened with cervical cancer screening. All on top of Windrush. And they have no idea what they're doing on Brexit.

1 pointHmmm - this'll be interesting. I note the "try" in that post. So this is the first of the 12 steps, then. Apparently it helps if you believe in a higher power; I'm sending assistance

1 pointHarry and his Spencer cousin George McCorquodale were very alike as children. George has been at the pies since then, and now looks like a fatter Ed Sheeran. George's mum is Diana's sister Sarah.

1 pointI wondered why that name seemed familiar. Hits for @msc, @Sir Creep, @Death Impends, @Spade_Cooley & @RoverAndOut. This is the second hit for di and spade so they now need a hit in EU leaders, boxers and kevin bacon. However that will be the same as three uniques. Congrats to the five of you and particularly to death impends for drawing my attention to it.

1 pointFair dos, I cannot catch them all. A salutary reminder to players that those outlying picks might need to be brought to my attention. Going to be some shuffling about on the next leaderboard, coming soon....
