And I was right. In one of the longest ever gaps between a death and a QO, the use of the term "the late Vanessa Lafaye" in this story from The i, means points are a coming.

Pamela Anderson dying but her death not making a single newspaper front page because someone had won £6billion on the lottery. Then later on my late night TV talk show was cancelled after I got #MeToo'd by Lucy Liu. I'm under a lot of stress at work.

I think I found this site in 2016 or so, but just looked at the main page from then until joining the forums this year. I guess I'm one of the newer members, but I'm glad for the site and the fellow people who have interest in celebrities and celebrity deaths. Just to add: I had always been interested in celebrity deaths for as long as I can remember, checking the "Famous Deaths" page in Wikipedia daily for probably over a decade.

I must have been visiting this site for maybe 13-14 years. Didn't start taking any notice of the forums till much later. I found deathlist when I was in my previous job. I was driving back from a field trip with a superior and we were talking about Ronnie Biggs and he thought he was dead. I thought he was still alive so when I got back to my office I googled it and there it was. The government filters wouldn't let me access the site though because it was considered "poor taste" or some similar term. Considering I have been in my current job 10 years and it was a few years before I left the old one it must be that long. So to answer your question, yes it does make me feel old.

Heh, well, Chris Bradley was the obvious pick... but then I choose ... Jean-Louis Trintignant

The i is because it's still a print publication. The Independent isn't a print publication so it doesn't count. I know it's arbitrary, but it's at least consistent.

Over 10 years since I found the site iirc due to going "Randy Pausch? Who the hell was that? Googles..." Actually, a few days ago was the 10th anniversary of Mrs Msc's only forum post. We'd just moved into our first flat together at the time.

http://www.metalsucks.net/2018/11/27/this-is-the-best-band-breakup-announcement-of-all-time/ “Due to the unfortunate reality of our guitarist fucking my girlfriend of almost 7 years WITCHROT will be taking an extended hiatus. I however will continue the band in another space and time, being ripe with hate the music is slowly flowing and without a doubt will become the most devastating, torturous music I have ever created. Thanks for the support, stay heavy – Peter “Also our drummer died…” LOL

Given your kid a stupid name should disqualify you from moaning when people point out your kid has a stupid name.

@YoungWillz, the I was on Spade's list on forum last year as a QO but the website went back to 2017 QO at some point in early 2018. I asked Spade since in the DDP thread if the I was meant to be a QO and he confirmed it, so there is a "paper trail" out there on this. Right now I'll shut up before anyone takes the joke about this ailing Scot being the next DDP host actually seriously...

Oooh. Maybe the announcement of the Doctor Who season 18 Blueray set might include a reference to The Leisure Hive written by the late David Fisher.

Well, thank goodness that doesn't give you repetitive strain injury in order that you could write that down for us.

I think I gave about a quarter shit about the death of Bernardo Bertolucci and an eighth of a shit about the death of Harry Leslie Smith.

Indeed I have, and I would refer to my highly regarded and decent selling book Pocket Essential UFOs where the case is discussed under the inspired section title "Bass, How Low Can you Go?" (as an Aussie you'll get the pun). I'm actually quoting it as unsolved in there though I'm with you on the likeliest answer being an inexperienced pilot flying over water at night an confusing himself.
