She’s my pick and I couldn’t care less. I don’t know why we don’t just all acknowledge that anybody taking this seriously is just going to look up all the names picked that they’ve never heard.

Keep an eye out on this one... Actor and comedian Sam Lloyd, best known for appearing in Scrubs (a very famous television sitcom out here in the States), has been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer, which has spread to his liver, spine, and jaw bone... Stick a fork in him, he's done. probably doesn't have a lot of time here left on this planet... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/scrubs-actor-sam-lloyd-given-devastating-cancer-diagnosis-200754730.html

She appeared live on Italian Television a few days ago. made a perfect impression physically and mentally and talked about her Long career and affairs with Fidel Castro and Sean Connery. In addition, she said that she was also a victim of sexual harassment, but she did not want to give some names. at the end she still told of her numerous plans in the future. in my opinion, she is a potential candidate for reaching the 100

FTFY. Yes, when I was young the 118th element was ununoctium, then they really synthesized it and now it is Oganesson.

Well cuz it took me 4+ hours to review the plethora of names I didn't or only vaguely knew. And out of all that I think I found maybe 8 that I will keep an eye on (though they'll likely perish). Even those 'taking it seriously' aren't going to spend that time. I'm so very fortunate I have a job that pays me to deathpool once in a while lol. Like yesterday (and today, if @Spade_Cooley sends me a couple letters of the alphabet to get photos for). But maybe by the phrase 'taking it seriously' you meant ONLY those who are willing to drop 4 hours going over that massive list, in which case I simply say 'yes' lol. But when you say 'just' it implies a flippant few minutes of research and I promise that isn't the case. SC

Ideas can come from pretty much anywhere. Carmen Callil for example when she casually mentioned having lung cancer during a BBC4 doc. Other options include Google keyword searches (Dr Reid), random "and X has been unwell" TV/radio/news story references, blogs ( Kate Figes), Twitter (Billy Clayton), wrestling and/or Gallifrey Base posts (Howard Finkel/Nick Courtney), news on here and my personal favourite people posting their teams early on Deathlist Forum...

Well I promise you, I am a degreed librarian (so one would think I can type a query), and it's all about what your query is and how far you are willing to drill down. But let me tell you, there are PLENTY of names I've never seen that pop up (I spent all day today going over Round 1 names), which tells me each person has their own secret entries they are searching and that's that. I am always impressed with many of the DPers here. Always. Best I can do is read the article and try to pick out the keywords they were using to find it, and develop a search using those for future DPs. Also -- I will never twitter so I'm way behind the 8-ball and accept there will be names I'll never know that are discovered there and only there. And after all that, you may have 5 names who are all similar and only 1 will die, and you need to be lucky to pick the right person and leave the chaff. That is an art that no degree will help me with. I'm learning every day. SC

Weirdly enough, the Facebook group "Llandrindod Solutions", a place to discuss ways to improve the town of Llandrindod, has someone asking about where they could speak to the family of a Reg Pugh two days ago. Being as both Reg Pugh the footballer and Reg Pugh discussed here were stationed in Burma during WW2, are from the same area of Wales and are around the same age, we can assume it's the same person? Responses are all in the past tense, suggesting he's dead: https://www.facebook.com/groups/234530116634949/permalink/2099393870148555/

Not at all. Id just love to have a definitive list for you but its so difficult to track some of these down. What I may do one of these days is go through a whole swathe of references but id need the quality time to do it. Its on my to-do list.

A guy walks with a young boy into the woods. The boy turns to him and says, “Hey mister, it’s getting really dark and I’m scared.” The man replies, “How do you think I feel? I have to walk back alone.”

This was only reported a little bit here in Norway as well. Due to the short attention spans of most Scandinavians the events are already forgotten. The silent invasions continue.

I wish.....They'd stop referring to any second referendum as a 'peoples vote'. Who voted in the first one? Cats? Dogs? Random migratory birds?

My dad has been discharged today! We know and he knows his time is limited, but we are trying to spend it at best. For now I'm happy we did not lose dad when we had lost all hopes.
