1 pointThanks for the tip Ultizer, I've used the GRO direct before for ordering certificates for Family History purposes. Having had an explore, there's only one match for a Janice French dying after 2015 and she's not the right age, and there's a few Anthony French's but none in the right area, or the right years or with the middle initial. As they'd only be 70-odd it's perfectly feasible they're both still alive, although according to 192.com, Anthony's not listed for 2015 whereas Janice is - did they split up, or maybe he went in a home?

1 pointFantastic resource. You can only search in 5-year blocks, so without a clue it can be time-consuming, but hey. The GRO births and deaths are completely revised indexes, so not the same as on FreeBMD. There are still errors and omissions though .....

1 pointI think it's safe to say he's no longer with us, anyway. Which goes for most of them. If we're looking for surviving cast members, it's really the younger ones that need pursuing. (Sorry to be Captain Obvious)

1 pointPrecisely. Euroscepticism was the norm of the Labour Party until the 1990s with the likes of Barbara Castle, Tony Benn and Peter Shore all opposed to EEC integration, and then ever closer union. I'm not a Labour man by any means but they were first class politicians who stood up for the interests of the working classes and knew that the EU did not serve their interests whatsoever, even if many of the social policies were left leaning/"progressive". With the departure of Gisela Stuart, Frank Field and Kate Hoey from the Commons, I believe Graham Stringer is now the last remaining eurosceptic Labour MP! How times have changed.

1 pointFucking show-off. What? Why? I think LFN is suggesting that only Posh people shop in Waitrose. It is great in Market Harborough Waitrose shares a car park with Aldi. People come out of Waitrose with a small bag of shopping and then go into Aldi to fill a trolley. It was Deathray, not LFN. Ironically I specifically went to Waitrose because their price for Cirio tinned tomatoes (now that possibly makes me posh) was easily the lowest of all the supermarkets available to me. I also shopped in Home Bargains and Sainsburys yesterday. I'm not a creature of habit when it comes to supermarkets. As I live several miles from the nearest town, and more or less equidistant from several towns, I go to whichever one is likely to serve my purposes at the time. So I may be spotted in Waitrose, Aldi, Sainsburys, Lidl, Tesco or occasionally Iceland. Horses for courses. Deffo posh.
