Delighted to discover that my team Blueberry Crumble was team of the month for May! Courtesy of my two unique hits! Hopeful I can repeat the feat again this year.

Yeah, because metric rules our lives. I’m absolutely sick of having to order 568ml of beer at the pub. Give these fuckers 2.54cm and they take 1.6km.

No points after Turkey v Wales game. I'll bet @the_engineer will be gutted. Aaron Ramsey scored a goal, so watch out for a big death shortly.

Nicholas Ray, American-born film director with such classic films as "In a Lonely Place" (1950), "Johnny Guitar" (1954), "Run for Cover" (1955), "Rebel Without a Cause" (1955), "Party Girl" (1958) or "55 Days at Peking" (1963), died of lung cancer in New York after a two-year illness on this date in 1979. He was 67 years old. Nicholas Ray's third wife was his "In a Lonely Place" star, Gloria Grahame from 1948 to 1952. He caught her in bed at their home with Tony, his 13-year-old son from his first marriage. Nine years later, Tony married his former stepmother in Mexico. Grahame had two children with him and the union made Tony the stepfather to his half brother Timothy, the child Ray had fathered with Grahame. The marriage caused a big scandal in Hollywood and Grahame received massive backlash when the public finally learned about her affair with Tony when he was a minor. Ray's had a severe heart attack during the filming of "55 Days at Peking", bringing his career to a premature end. Nicholas Ray was interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin.

Technically I got the France V Germany score right. However Germany got an own goal and two goals for France were not allowed due to being offside, lol.

Only 5 of the male grandslam winners since 1960 have died, yes. But that's still almost entirely sports men aged under 85. The fatal 5 Vitas Gerulaitis died aged 40 in a tragic carbon monoxide poisoning due to a faulty chimney in a house he was a guest in. Arthur Ashe died of AIDS aged 49 due to a blood transfusion fuckup. Andres Gimeno died in 2019 aged 82 after being ill for a long time. Rafael Osuna was killed aged 30 in a plane crash. Chuck McKinley died aged 45 of brain cancer. Tennis is meant to add years to your life (there is no cure for accidents or plane crashes) but it's 80s+, so Ullrich is still at the higher end of tennis longevity.

I'm glad we are collecting every single vaccine-related death. This way we can count, I think we're up to five now.

A "he's still alive???" name for me, Sen Sōshitsu XV Born 1923 and 98 years old, he was the head of the Urasenke school of Japanese Tea from 1964 to 2002 and remains if not the most known, one of the most known of the alive tea masters. He was a kamikaze pilot but wasn't allowed to participate to keep the old dynasty from dying out. During his tenure as the head of the Urasenke school, he established multiple branches of the Urasenke school overseas. Probably not famous enough for the DL but certainly more famous than Bill Gates's dad and likely to recieve a lot of media attention when he dies. 2019: 2020: Also has a connection to the Japanese royal family: his son Sen Sōshitsu XVI (b. 1956) married Masako Sen (b. 1951), a daughter of Prince Takahito (1915-2016) and Princess Yuriko (b. 1923). However, he could be centenarian material like Prime Minister Murayama.
