Regarding the date of death, as you said the article which acts as a QO is dated 8th February and mentions "earlier this week". February 8th was a Tuesday, so "earlier this week" should be Monday 7th, or Sunday 6th if you consider that to be the beginning of the week. However the linkedin tribute is dated Saturday 5th. Until proven otherwise, I am going with the date of death as Saturday 5th February, as the tribute gives no indication as to when he died.

Herman Wouk and Bill Gates Sr. didn't get BBC obits either. I didn't think she was famous enough in the UK either and was surprised the committee picked her. Though obviously it turned out to be a good decision.

No BBC obit so far. She might be one of the first DL successes not to get one. I actually neglected to choose her as I didn’t think she’d get a BBC obit. Arguably not famous enough in the UK.

I'm in my early 50s and had to live through the Seinfeld craze. I saw enough from the adverts to know I would hate the show. Every time I saw Jerry I had an urge to punch smug fuck in the face (or kick the neighbour's cat)
