9 pointsMrs msc knows about the DL and DDP. A few years ago, when I was getting checked for cancer, I wondered what would happen if I was to die and she said: "Don't worry, I'll let your fellow weirdos know." See, she cares. She is quite chill about the DDP but there's a few names I'm officially not allowed to pick (Yoko, Billy Connolly, etc) for a quiet life. I also read her the top 50 each New Year's Day for her amusement, and it often leads to a chorus of "they're not dead yet?" from her.

7 pointsSue Carroll's death I'll never forget. The joker of my proposed DDP debut, and I saw the announcement of her death checking my phone at the family Christmas dinner and, without thinking, loudly went "OH FUCK IT!" at the top of my voice in front of my entire family (mum, gran, younger relatives etc etc). I had to pretend I'd just bashed my knee off the table.

6 pointsMy parents know I have an interest in who just died and elderly celebrities (like one time circa 2018, my dad found out Nehemiah Persoff was still alive and he asked me if I knew about him, naturally I did) but not that I deadpool. Did tell my girlfriend about my deadpool side months back and she was mainly just happy the community here supported my coming out!

6 pointsI run a (very) small pool among friends, there are three of us to be precise. This is only the second year, however.

5 pointsI've never told people close to me I'm visiting this site or participating in pools, however I am often the one who breaks the news of famous people's deaths to family and friends. If I'd tell someone about the DL, it'd probably be my partner and maybe some friends.

5 pointsSeems a bit much to accuse Carter for starting to demystify the Presidency when the winner of the previous election had to leave office in disgrace for covering up criminal activity and general lyingness.

4 pointsI talk to my parents about the list sometimes and they sometimes point out celebs who look to them ill or rough who they say should be on the list but I don’t tell them I take part in pools.
-
4 pointsThe person who posted that is friends with a Michael Callan on Facebook. Very, very basic profile, but it does match his place of birth and he himself is friends with two fully fledged out accounts that match the names of Callan's actual daughters.
-
4 pointsSpent hours Googling (or maybe I just exaggerated that) and I can't find a picture of Jeanette Charles and Princess Margaret together, just sayin' - far be it from me to start the obvious rumour!

3 pointsA legend, Sir Bobby Charlton, is 85 today. Charles Shyer, American film director, producer and screenwriter known for directing "Irreconcilable Differences", the new version of "Father of the Bride", "I Love Trouble", "The Affair of the Necklace" and the remake of "Alfie", is 81 (some sources say 71) today. His father, Melville Shyer, one of the founders of the Directors Guild of America, worked with legendary film director D.W. Griffith.

3 pointsOh no they don't. Never liked him. A sanctimonious smug git who thinks he is far funnier and far more significant than he actually is. Can I suggest Bob Mortimer Michaela Strachan Michael Palin and the recently deceased Murray Walker.
-
3 pointsNo. Having 3 subs prevents people from scoring with celebs that are going to die imminently, then replacing them with another deaths-door pick and scoring with them. I like that the third sub has to be carefully chosen. They can’t be too dying or else they won’t make the list (a lot of us are being optimistic with Rolf!) Just leave the current rules be and make suggestions when the pool is near the end. Chopping and changing the rules when the pool has already begun is messy.
-
3 pointsI reckon the list will get 13 hits. I predict Lansbury, one of the ailing sports names (Starmer-Smith, Charlton, Law, Pelé) and two other nonagenarians will go.
