Keith Harding (wiki), former Tory MSP, died on 15 November 2021, aged 82. Just updated his Wiki, which still had him listed as living. A few notes on him – former leader of Stirling Council (1991–1995), very well liked across the political divide (e.g. he was the only Tory to be invited to former First Minister Jack McConnell's 40th birthday bash), defected to the neoliberal "New Party" in 2003 with MSP colleague Lyndsay McIntosh. Later retired to Brittany from 2004, where he was active before dying from a sudden illness. Received obits from The Scotsman and The Courier, but it was never spotted/reported on DL Forums for some reason.

I've been here a while. The DDP rule here has been in force all that time, and yet nobody has bitched about it until now. And that was before the "wide open" Yahoo QOs were accepted. A passing reference, a caption on a photo, all these things count provided they are from a qualifying source and they reference the death. True, they are not obits - but the rules that everyone signs up to are clear from the outset. Some may not like them, but they agree to the rules when they submit a team. If you still can't get an obit, either you are incredibly unlucky or you have picked an obscure celeb so bloody obscure to the great unwashed British public that even the numerous sources aren't interested in covering them.

They really are bunch of odious shysters aren't they? It's been obvious since the earliest days of the pandemic that they were in it for as much fame and money as they could as quickly as they could. Young PR agent hired by Ingram-Moores to draft original press release and manage his Twitter feed cut out by family when she was nominated for awards for her work and in Captain Tom's autobiography it is claimed both the press release and the Twitter feed where due to quick thinking by...you guessed it...Hannah Ingram-Moore.

I remember Dustin Gee's death really well. A girl in my class at school had some sort of connection to the panto he was starring in at the time (think she may have been a dancer in it) which made it seem more real somehow. I also remember his last series with Les Dennis being shown posthumously which I found strangely fascinating.

Ahah it's funny that you talk about St Nicolas du Chardonnet ! I live at ten minutes from this church in the Quartier Latin, and each time that i come back from the gay Marais, and that I pass in front of the church I feel very funny by thinking that I am the devil for traditionalist who go in this church !

For what was a extremely flippant remark on my part has elicited a very detailed and quite uncomfortable answer which does concern me about how close to power such people are in France
