Diawusie began his career in the RB Leipzig youth system, being loaned out to Wehen-Wiesbaden before leaving to join FC Ingolstadt. After another loan at Wiesbaden, he moved on to East German heavyweights Dynamo Dresden, where he played 30 times before a move to Austrian side SV Ried that didn't work out for him.
