They were pretty good. Given the standard of most support groups of that era they were amazing Saw Marc Almond live about 20 years ago, singalonga Say Hello Wave Goodbye was the final encore. I was one of only about 10 people in the audience who knew the words. He moved around/among the audience while we sang, I got a shoulder squeeze. Have to say being pulled onto the stage and cuddled by Tracie Young in 1983 was more fun though.

I was no expecting such a forthright title of that video. It was, interestingly, taken closer to 10 months ago than recently (before Christmas 2023), and even then he thought he'd only have a few months...

If the deaths don't pick up may i propose a topic for next year dedicated to the large number of people dropped from this years list due to only 25 being allowed to remain on the list. The list of the dropped should be called "Missed it by That Much"

Goran Fristorp of the band Malta which competed at the 1973 Eurovision for Sweden and came 5th with You're Summer, reportedly dead: https://eurovoix.com/2024/09/03/sweden-eurovision-1973-participant-goran-fristorp-has-died/ They had to perform under the name Nova to avoid confusion with the country Malta.

The 2024 list has fallen behind the 2010 list. Though I think this year's list will end with a final score of 10, with these names: Carter (though I still think he will reach 100) , Laine, Chomsky, Baxter, Woodward and Le Pen should hopefully bring that result sooner or later.

New interview with The Times with new pics. Discusses her marriage. Still working as she said retirement would bore her. Ain't dying this year. May even outlive husband Timothy West, 89, at this rate. Scales is a lesson for DeathList – unless you know the type of dementia affecting the subject then don't put them on the list. Scales was officially diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2014, but was showing symptoms of it as far back as 2001. It really isn't as quick to progress as other forms such as Alzheimer's.

You are of course correct that he could die of a sudden heart attack but literally every human could suffer the same fate at any time. My opinion from watching the video of his speech is that he does not appear frail or sickly meaning that all things being equal I doubt he will die soon. Sure he could bang his head and die like Bob Saget but compared to other people of his age he looks healthy and together.

Sheila Smith, one of the few remaining cast members of the original Broadway production of Mame, has died aged 90. She was understudy to both Bea Arthur and Angela Lansbury (and deputised for both at various points).
