2 pointsClickbait. Saw him on the TV the other day with his missus. Looks as fit as someone can be for his age. He’s paranoid about his longevity because he was ill in the 90s. Doesn’t mean it will return anytime soon.

1 pointSnap. Rak-Su - supporting Ollie Murs (who one of the young wombles was very keen on for several years so I took her to see him). In fairness, both put on a decent show and she loved them. That said, Dimelo and two of the Ed Sheeran songs are the only ones I know here and I can't be bothered to listen to a load of songs I'm almost certainly not going to like particularly, so I'll pass on this round.

1 pointHenry III of England died on this day 752 years ago, aged 65. - Henry was a son of King John, succeeding him as king when he died in 1216. As Henry was only 9 years old, he had a regency run the government, and would only take control in 1227. - Henry would lead an invasion of France in 1230 which ended with England gaining nothing, and later in his reign he would try to form an alliance with Germany to put pressure on France. He did, however, become friends with French king Louis IX after the two of them went on the Seventh Crusade, with a notable development between their friendship was Louis gifting Henry a pet elephant. - Dissatisfied nobles began to riot in 1258, which escalated into a full-scale civil war six years later. Henry would be captured by the forces of Simon de Montfort and was rescued by his son Edward, who killed Montfort in battle. - Henry was well-known for his interest in architecture, notably leading renovations of Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, and Westminster Palace. - Henry died after a 56-year reign, the longest of an English monarch at the time (surpassed by George III in 1816). He was succeeded by his son (the aforementioned) Edward I.

1 pointTumor removed and they told me it was non-malignant. Post-surgery ICU was an...experience with the stablizing my BP etc, but I was not in much pain and felt safe having nurses in the same room 24/7. Worst part might've been having the cannulas, catheter and other stuff removed. In the next bed there was a 70-something woman who'd had a more dangerous tumor (meningioma) removed and got out of ICU (and out of hospital) before me, and even asked the nurses if the other patients are okay. Standard hospital room was much more "boring" but tricked me into getting up and walking around. I'm out of hospital now, left with a gnarly scar with around 20 staples, slight occasional dizziness, back pain, a pair of hospital socks etc...hoping I won't get any complications. Thank you all who wished me well.

1 pointSince there are no obituaries for them, according to the research of the Italian historian in our Messenger conversations we found these names. In some cases I have used Les Gens Du Cinema as the source. 1 pointThe annual le pen is dead rumour. He'll be on tiktok playing basketball with Song Ping before the weekend.
-
1 pointI've argued this before. This was the most effective line in the song. It hit home because deep down people were thankful it wasn't them. And it forced us to admit it. Bono delivered it perfectly. It's not patronising, it's almost accusatory. This was the line that had us emptying our wallets. It was brilliant.

1 pointI admit I'm fighting a possession by The Old Crem. Chinese Politburo member in the 80s, mentor to Hu Jintao, got previous coverage by the Guardian, reportedly in bad health for years. Recently missed the events for the 75th national day of PRC. Above all, 108 next April, and one of the very very few people born in the 10s to be still alive and have legit notability. You probably don't realize how unlikely it is for a top level politician (he is kind the Chinese equivalent of George Shultz) to make this extreme age. In other words, there will be no names this level (very notable already in the 70s/80s) to make this age for a while. Can he become the first really notable supercentenarian? Beside that, God told me Song Ping needs his thread otherwise he won't die.
-
1 pointMuch more notable than both of them. He was one of the most powerful people in China in the late 80s, as Head of the Organization Department. Both Tompson and Maas credits were pretty minor in comparison. Quiros is just a longeve first lady, but acquired some notability very recently (just four/five years ago it wasn't even clear she was still alive). Cig shot to fame in 2006 when she claimed things that apparently went against Islam and got tried. Song Ping has had an English wiki page since he was a mere 88, and retired for a lot of years. To me he is the survivor of the 1910s decade. Brenda Milner, Lloyd Geering and maybe June Spencer are the only ones who can compete in terms of notability. Marsh Doll is already on a lower tier. The rest of them are very minor names, shot to fame for their age (see Viola Fletcher) or are age fraudsters (Whang-od, Mwazha, Sharubutu).

1 pointI'd rather read about Mike Tyson fucking someone up than all of the shitty posts of absolute nobodies you subject us with.
