Well, the decision has been taken. And the last member of the 2025 Immortal class is none other than..... LK Advani!!! "Remember when we told you you'd become PM and then an Immortal, Mr. Advani???" "YES YOU TOLD IT!" "We were joking" "Gaaaaah" Ahahah, I got you. By popular acclaim the real member of the 2025 selection is the Jacobine intellectual, Noam Chomsky! Oh,oh,oh, Happy Christmas! Survivor of a massive stroke in 2023, rumoured dead last year. @polar duck will be glad there's a Jew on the list. And also one more Antisemitic actually.

I live in the U.S. and can assure you most of us have never heard of Bernadette Chriac, sorry. Imelda Marcos is a bit more known, as her husband held power for over two decades. There is also the notoriety of her lavish lifestyle, human rights violations, and exile. I honestly don't think it's a fair comparison. If it makes you feel better, no former U.S. first ladies made the list, this year or last year.

Too bad a lot of people seem to consider deathpooling a mortal sin. I've had a few good but short discussions through email with a certain Asian politician who has been and is on a few of my teams. Started as a boredom-fueled brainfart and I never expected he'd respond! I don't think I'll ever explain the DL or Deadpooling to him, I doubt he'd be understanding let alone tech-savvy enough to create an account here. Interesting mental image, though.

German CSU-politician Oscar Schneider has died on 29th of December at the age of 97. From 1982 to 1989 he was the Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Building during the Helmut Kohl government. But it is more important to mention that he was on our D-A-CH list of 2022. https://www.antenne.de/nachrichten/bayern/frueherer-bundesbauminister-oscar-schneider-gestorben

Vox populi, vox dei. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the Class of 2025! 1)Kaiti Grey (1924): Greek singer, hospitalised in extremely critical condition in March 2024 with heart failure, only to be discharged in weeks. Hospitalised with pneumonia in February 2024, hospitalised in April 2024. His wife is always waiting for something before letting him go. Biggest "how still alive?" mystery on the list. 3)Prunella Scales (1932): was already a DL pick back in 2016 when I joined the forum. Has suffered from mixed dementia for more than a decade. Survived her younger husband last year. 4)Imelda Marcos (1929): shoe collector and all round worm, overweight for most of her adult bug life. Heart disease, diabetes, wheelchair bound for years. Hospitalised in critical condition with respiratory failure in 2022. Hospitalised in critical condition in February 2024. Is there a last time for this fatso? Seems the conjoined twin of Tinto Brass. 8)Th. Muivah (1934): Nagaland independence fighter or terrorist if you listen to S C Jamir. Hospitalised in 2018, hospitalised in ICU in 2021, hospitalised in March 2022. Overdue for years. 9)Jirō Ono (1925): Legendary Japanese sushi chef, has looked like a skeleton for decades. How long? 12)Harrison Ruffin Tyler (1928): Grandson of fucking John Tyler, and conservationist. Multiple strokes in 2012, advanced dementia in 2020, 24/7 care in 2021. Has soldiered on longer than anyone expected. 13)Louis Farrakhan (1933): all round miserable worm, was on his deathbed in 2006, major surgery in 2007. Somehow the strongest out of 1914 survivors. 23)Ahmad Jannati (1927): frail for a decade, survived two wives. But most of all he deserves credit for being still able to massively oppress a country at almost 98. One of the most welcomed demises ever. If it will ever happen. 24)Sir Lloyd Geering (1918): Survived three wives, was at the peak of fame in the 60s and has chated me in the Centenarians pool for two or more years. The yearly Daily Star article. SICK DEATHLIST predicts 50 celebs who will die this year after one of worst years yet A morbid website that annually predicts the deaths of celebrities saw 2024 become its worst forecast in 30 years. The committee's first accurate prediction for 2024 didn't appear until the death of Ethel Kennedy, a member of the Kennedy family, who passed away on October 10 at the age of 86. Another article here from Slate.fr. This one mentions and has a link to the French DL.

I've known for a long time that it's fruitless to expect the back button to take you back to the previous page on Facebook. What is making me angry and frustrated is that if I briefly switch to another tab and then return to the FB tab, it obliterates what I was looking at and presents a whole new series of items. WTF does it do this? I see something that interests me, I might want to comment but go to check a fact first, then when I go back to the FB tab it's whisked away.
