Updated. First off, congratulations to newcomers to the HOF: @YorkshireBanker - a difficult Cup opponent for many, won the tricky Inverse Pool last year. @MariNisia - a newcomer who won the 20/20 pool. @The Daredevil - our local Andre Maranne fan, who won the DL Prediction Game Book runs each year. @Great Uncle Bulgaria - fitting in a year we lost Bernard, that a Womble should win something, and the Centenarians game a is a lot harder to win than it looks. @RoverAndOut gained their 2nd Scavenger Hunt title! @Death Impends is semi retired these days after I handed her the DDP co-hosting baton (good way to get rid of a DDP rival, no? ) but still managed to win the prestigious Hares Pool for the second time. DI adds to her record of 18 deadpool wins - can anyone overtake them? @gcreptile is also having a quieter time while he co-runs the DDP but did manage to win the ABC pool last summer. @Book added the Twisted DL to a growing list of accolades for this swiftly improving player. @drol had a great year, not only winning the Electoral Deadpool, with their vast knowledge of ailing Asian politicians, but they became the first person to do the double of Midsummer and Advent Deadpools in one year. Nice! 3 pools in one year is rarely done, and usually it'd be the big achievement of the year... Also, any other year, we'd have @Spade_Cooley last here. Not only did he win the Derby Dead Pool, the greatest of all deadpools, for the 5th time, but he came back after a 6 year gap to re-gain the title he once held an unstoppable grip on. To this point, only DDT has lost the title and regained it, in 2008/2011/2012. Drunkasaskunk came close in 2014. But the deadpooler of 2022 had to be @Banana. How do you top someone winning the DDP, or another winning 3 titles in one year? Maybe win the Hartlepool, or the Death by Numbers, or the Deathrace, or Alt Obits, those long running deadpools which are the standard bearers just below the level of DDP? Well, Banana did the unprecedented achievement of winning ALL FOUR OF THEM in the same calendar year. Insane. And they've already added another Deathrace title on top of that in 2023.

Can confirm the DDP got completely bored of him. At least if Scott Thorson somehow dies this year, 10 of you picked him. I joked he was dying on the DDP News Ticker in the final days of the year, which given it seemingly inspired people to pick him, almost makes me feel bad. Almost.

Unbelievably not a pick in Deaths of the Silver Screen III probably because she was the last survivor of many of her films and then retired

Fuck me, it's like a kindergarten here. Thank gods for @theoldlady I can beat this with Marilyn Monroe. I had no idea who she was but my mother made a bit of a fuss about it. "First Celebrity Death You Remember" - the clue is in the title. It was obviously a joke I've made a point of laughing at it now.
