Ironically, it is those tits of hers you wanked over that might well be her undoing.

Sounds like it's gonna get physical...

She is on my theme team and I don't think she deserves her own thread. If the committee decided to put her on the list next year I would not object but until the the Authors thread would suffice.

Sandy Gall is a very distinguished journalist and presenter who is a household name to people over a certain age.Gay Byrne is incredibly famous in Ireland and I think most people in Britain know who he is.Leah Bracknell was on a TV soap for many years that aired several episodes a week so is pretty well known.Downie is a more obscure name to the Brits but is big in Canada and amongst a certain amount of music fanatics in the UK.Errol Christie is quite an obscure pick who many of us hadn`t heard of until he got ill.He is a boxer who was socially well-connected and appeared on ITV`s boxing program which I assume was very well watched.

Olivias elder sister Rona died in May 2013 of brain cancer at the age of 70... The news about the return of cancer and the seriousness saddens me a lot. I really love Olivia Newton-John; Xanadu is one of my all time favorite songs for ever and ever!!! I know I know, the movie isn't that good, but the soundtrack is!!!

3 hours till it begins. So, that's three hours of sleep for me before I have to get up. I honestly like my time set for the Advent Avalanche better though, it's set so there isn't necessarily an advantage or disadvantage for Brits or Americans. Where as there may be disadvantages for the American posters who sleep in. Anyways, good luck to everyone.

Will they glue his coffin closed, or do you think they will use double-sided sticky tape for speed?

People on the Deathlist always get a thread. But it's not up to us who goes on the DL.

Funny thing, I actually have heard of Gord Downie before his cancer diagnosis. I haven't heard of Clearly before joining the deathlist forums, and I do live in America.

It was the Blues that bought somebody in to lift a gypsy's curse some years ago if my memory is correct. I'm sticking with Brucie.

Sad - once I get used to the news I'm sure I'll find the logic to pick her for the various pools but for now just all a bit new and makes me feel old. When you find the women who used to be wank fodder appearing on your death lists you know life is moving on way too fast.

I think Ian Holm (who has been ill recently and seems to have retired) and Joss Ackland would make good additions for 2018. Also Barbara Shelley could be an inclusion as really being the last well-known Hammer horror regular still alive.

    George Bush on June 3rd.

Seemed well in the last interview I saw of her.Doubt she would make the DL as she is only well known in America I think.

The obvious hits aren't dying so I've gone with the least likely: Olivia de Havilland.

He'll be 71 later this year - so he's around the same age as most classic rock musicians

Nor have any of the old long timers. It's been one new old guy, one MND death, and 3 "frail and ill 50/50ers". Law of averages dictates at least one or two of the regulars will go before December 31st.

I don't think we'll have a new record. It's becoming evident that we will have a few certs survive until 2018 (Bracknell and Downie) and that some of the too famous to lose are still active (Queen, Phillips). I think we can get anywhere from 12-13 hits.

My updated verdict for the 2017 list with Noakes gone. Almost certain: Tony Booth, Gord Downie, King Michael of Romania, Nobby Stiles, Glen Campbell and Errol Christie. In real danger but may make to 2018: Kirk Douglas, Billy Graham, Peter Sallis, Olivia De Haviland, Herman Wouk, Leslie Phillips, Jill Gascoine, Ian St John, Bruce Forsyth, Hosni Mubarak, Desmond Tutu, Liz Dawn, Valerie Harper, Emperor Akhito, Leah Bracknell, George Bush Sr Will they won't they?: Lord Carrington, Duke of Edinburgh, Denis Norden, Pierre Cardin, Bob Dole, Jimmy Carter, Robert Mugabe, Javier Perez De Cueller, Jake Lamotta, Doug Ellis, Hugh Hefner, David Prowse, Sandy Gall, Pope Benedict, Fats Domino, Gay Byrne, Vera Lynn Little chance: Stan Lee, Betty White, Honor Blackman, Queen Elizabeth II, Jerry Lewis, Bob Barker

Trimmed from the masterlist as we speak. It is an unruly document. Something like 7000 names, and no doubt a whole bunch of doublers. Everytime I go to cut it down, I wind up adding 50 names.

Im not sure how to put this but its bugging the shit out of me. There seems to be parents of the victims of the Manchester bombing who are positively coming alive ( as it were) as they do the endless tour of network television sharing their memories and grief with a waiting UK audience who simply cannot get enough fucking misery to feed off of. Just saying, like.

Noted. Though I suspect you'll be needing to ask Toast or Ali nicely there.
