10 pointsAfter the fire here in 2016, I told Mrs msc about Magere's disappearance, and what'd happen if I just keeled over one day. Her response? "Don't worry, I'd let your fellow loonies know..." See? She cares.

7 pointsRight, I think that's every bio written and every image uploaded, except for a couple that have fell through the cracks that I'm going to tidy up. Will do check-overs of old bios next, catch up on any outdated references (Obama's bio still saying he was president, f'rinstance). As for front page, getting the Theme Team running and linking back to previous months is next, which shouldn't be too troublesome.

2 pointsKercheval was on the list in...2015 iirc, as apparently he is fond of a drink or ten? Larry Hagman was a bit of a miss for nearly everyone on here (notable exception: Lardy!) back in 2012. You'd think an alcoholic 80 year old with liver cancer would be treated more seriously, but so it goes...

1 pointYes, I have seen a report of her death as well, along with a reminder that she killed 14 year old Stompie Seipei and is a suspect in the disappearances of other activists like Lolo Sono. The woman was a natural born killer and thug.

1 pointNah, the US soaps in those days were fantasyland for someone like me living in Thatcher's Britain. They bore no resemblance to my life or even one I aspired to. Anyway, not for this thread and if someone wants to even attempt lists in the soap thread for those, they are welcome to them.

1 pointIndeed. LA Law was a superb show with an excellent cast (if nothing like a UK legal training in the UK, as I found to my cost later in life).

1 pointThe former dictator of Guatemala, Efraín Rios Montt, died at the age of 91. Lawyer reported that it was a heart attack. He was eventually convicted of genocide of indigenous people, but sentence was annulled; Ríos Montt was in power in 1982 and 1983. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/01/obituaries/efrain-rios-montt-guatemala-dead.html

1 pointWhat's that? You want a few more health tidbits from the obsessive sad anoraks helpful celeb autograph/photo hunting forums? (Collated from Fanmail, Marked Out etc hence lack of sources so take at own risk, though they do have good form...) Linda Harrison, actress (Planet of the Apes) cancels appearance at Chiller Theatre Convention in New Jersey at the end of this month "on health grounds". David Soul returns to events this month after missing a bunch last year. "He's been in poor health", apparently. Despite looking very frail, forum favourite Burt Reynolds is apparently lucid, still doing fan meet and greets (as of last year) and makes sure he talks at length with all his fans.

1 pointWell, I am very pleased with the support and effort being turned out with this new pool. But I must say, it is getting to be an utter mess. I will make it less complicated next year, by having less restrictions on monthly picks. My intent this year was to make sure that with any given hit, scoring would be spread out. That is, if Julia Roberts went into a coma on March 30 and died a few days later, I didn't want all 20 teams being able to score 5 points. I can see that maybe that is not such a concern, and that enough hits will be scored to spread things out over the course of the game. However, for this year, I do need to simplify the selection of monthly picks in some way. It is tough for me (and everyone else who is trying to create a roster) to avoid rule violations when so many entrants are putting up bad lists and then posting several changes. I think I have sorted it out for the above table, so check it for your team and let me know if I made any errors. But starting next month, each entrant will get ONE team entry per month. If you phuk it up and submit something with a rule violation in it - too bad. Your team is locked in for the month and you will not score any name entered which violates one of the rules. So take your time and make sure your entry is good. As I said in an earlier post, I am already leaving it up to each of you to avoid violations, I will not call you on it unless you get a hit - - then I will make sure you are in compliance before scoring your points. Thanks for sticking with it through the growing pains. Carry on!

1 pointHer adopted hometown of Carmel is having a week-long celebration of her birthday: http://people.com/movies/doris-day-celebrates-96th-birthday-see-exclusive-portrait/ "I am blessed with good health and so fortunate to be surrounded by loving friends and fans who have traveled so far to help raise money for the precious four-leggers."

1 pointAt lunchtime I had a four egg omelette covered in lots of cheese, and this was pretty much the first solid thing to pass my lips (oooooer) since Friday night. I now have hot fucking magma streaming out my balloon knot. And the moral of this story is if you’re at all unsure of a fart’s intention, play it safe and clench.

1 pointI’m well aware it was posted someplace besides THE BILL COSBY THREAD. You can’t fix stupid. As Y-Dub says, for completeness: Bill Cosby’s daughter, Ensa Cosby, who came to her father’s defense last year against accusations that he had sexually assaulted numerous women, has died at age 44 from a chronic kidney disease, a family spokesman said on Monday. Hey at least she wasn’t changing a tire. Too soon? SC
