Tried looking for some of the world's oldest people for cheap hits, but after the mass exodus of the previous years, I think we're in for a bit of a drought there... Disney animator, Ruthie Thompson, still on for game day: Polish athlete Stanislaw Kowalski, still standing for his 108th birthday in April: Italian composer Cecilia Seghizzi looking quite happy celebarting her 110th birthday in September: http://ilpiccolo.gelocal.it/trieste/cronaca/2018/09/02/news/i-110-anni-di-cecilia-seghizzi-fra-letture-e-tanta-buona-musica-1.17210141 Consideration starts with the eminently obitable WW II resistance fighter Georges Loinger (also featured in the future movie "Resistance") On the 110 club site there is a vast amount of pictures for oldest notable person Qin Hanzhang.

As it came from Space this counts and is quite important in the historical scheme of things. https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2018/11/massive-crater-under-greenland-s-ice-points-climate-altering-impact-time-humans

I'd say anyone with 5 episodes or more under their belt is the main cast. With John's death that's 4/9 of the main cast dead. The other 5 all being fairly old.

Sorry what? In the context of this thread it's exactly the right word, I wouldn't say "I went to the Lee Mac's do something fun at the Apollo last night" or "I'm thinking of buying tickets to Parkway Drive's do something fun at the Apollo in January" - because I'd sound like a moron. gig a live performance by a musician or group playing popular or jazz music.

No. Legalise the lot. The harm done by the pursuit of 'illegal' drug taking is worse than the 'taking' of those drugs. Convince me otherwise chap.

Society, and the laws enacted by it are *supposed* to benefit the majority of members. Drug laws as they stand, in my view, do not. Simplistic as that may be. Agree or not, you are worth arguing with Sharon. ; )

Trouble is mate, whilst you and I agree on a number of things , this isn't one (it appears). I don't use drugs aside from alcohol, caffeine and nicotine (passim from fags, now a vape). However, in my view the harm done to society in general by the pursuit of 'illegal' drug users by plod (and by definition parliament that makes the laws) outweighs the harm done by individuals *to themselves* taking said drugs. All the violence, locked up dealers, locked up users etc...would disappear overnight. Do I think people should take drugs? Probably not. Do I think their criminalisation causes WAY more problems than it solves? You betcha. And that's kind of the point. I don't get locked up for 3 drugs, mentioned above, but other drugs, they're all derived from plants... who decides?

I agree with LFN. Legalise it, tax it, solve a crime issue and create an income generator in one move.

I am actually in favour of legalising cannabis, I'm actually leaning towards the legalisation and government control/ cultivating of all drugs. It will completely destroy the drugs trade and drug barons overnight. Possibly.

Any Ah, the naivety delusion of believing that turning eighteen some how makes you an adult. While I'm here. Can I get my tag-line changed to "How the fuck am I not perma-banned?"

Not sure how reliable the source is, but it does look fairly cast iron. John Bluthal has reportedly died: https://tvtonight.com.au/2018/11/vale-john-bluthal.html Q with Spike Milligan, Help with The Beatles, Benny Hill, Kenny Everett, etc etc. Not just a Pickle. If this is true, this is sad news. Also a pick for me in the Hares Pool.

I hate anything which is branded as a gig you do something fun or you don't if you feel the need to use the word gig it probably means you have not enjoyed something as much as you thought you should have and yet you feel the need to show it off to the world
