Unless they're driven into a wall by a drink driver at 100mph, with a fleet of pepperazzi in hot pursuit.

Though I do think that there is a small possibility that he prefers spending Christmas in hospital instead of with his family. I believe this man doesn't give a single fuck anymore.

Here's how I think the 2020 list should look like: Keep: Kirk Douglas Olivia de Havilland Vera Lynn Prince Philip Jimmy Carter Pierre Cardin Bob Dole Javier Perez de Cuellar Henry Kissinger Bob Barker Betty White Emperor Akihito Murray Walker June Brown Stirling Moss Hosni Mubarak Dick Van Dyke Nobby Stiles Barbara Walters Desmond Tutu Honor Blackman Valery Giscard d'Estaing Jimmy Greaves Loretta Lynn Prunella Scales Bring back: Olivia Newton-John Angela Lansbury Pope Benedict XVI Stanley Baxter Ozzy Osbourne Jill Gascoine Nicholas Parsons Add: Alex Trebek Yasuhiro Nakasone Lee Kerslake Frankie Banali Jean-Louis Trintignant Lawrence Ferlinghetti Ted Turner Terry Jones Tony Bennett Bernard Tapie James Randi John Hume Giorgio Napolitano George Alagiah David Gulpilil Daniel arap Moi Ruth Bader Ginsburg Genesis P-Orridge

I guess I never really realized that Terry Jones wasn't on this year's list and should be a lock in 2020. Trebek is another obvious name previously mentioned. Some names the committee should most likely already be familiar with. George Alagiah Olivia Newton-John Daniel arap Moi Barbara Barrie Ruth Bader Ginsburg Bill Turnbull And some high quality names that were quite popular in 2019 and will most likely remain so in 2020. David Gulpilil, Australian actor with advanced lung cancer. Genesis P-Orridge, "singer" with advanced leukemia. Jean-Louis Tritignant, accomplished French actor who ceased treatment of his cancer back in late 2018. Lee Kerslake, Ozzy Osbourne's drummer with terminal prostate cancer. Probably the least obitable of the bunch. Some decent and fairly known picks. Everton Weekes, was in ICU with heart issues a few months ago and is back in hospital again. Looking downhill from here-on-out. Beverly Cleary, 104 and should be a lock until she kicks it. Peter Tobin, suffering from cancer in prison and the news stories surrounded him aren't in a good light (obviously, but you know what I mean). David Prowse, suffering from dementia and quit public appearances a couple years ago. Peter Sutcliffe, has had heart issues and is apparently on his last legs. David Attenborough, stated himself that he was close to death, however he's been in the news quite frequently as late which could support either two outcomes. Some newer names as of recently. Tom Smith, Scottish rugby captain recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer which has spread to his liver and brain. Lata Mangeshkar, popular Indian singer who may not make it to the starting line. Tabare Vazquez, current president of Uruguay is suffering what has been said to be stage 4 lung cancer. Is remaining in his position while undergoing treatment. David Crosby, has had multiple issues with his health dealing with his heart, liver (transplant) and diabetes. He himself has said that he only expects he has at most a couple years left. Samuel Little, said to be the most prolific documented serial killer in history. Has been releasing info on his previously unconfirmed killings due to him being reportedly in poor health. Brian Cowen, had a brain hemorrhage back in July and not much if anything has been said about his health since. There is also quite a few American sporting folk who could be at the discretion of the committee for 2020. Chris Doleman, HOF football player. Suffering from a glioblastoma. Bob Gibson, HOF baseball player with pancreatic cancer. John Andretti, race car driver apart of the notable Andretti family. Is also a champ in his own right. Gale Sayers, HOF football player suffering from dementia since 2013. Wheelchair-bound and made a public appearance earlier this year and didn't look good. Bill Freehan, 11x MLB all-star. Considered to be a HOFer by some. Still in hospice with Alzheimer's. Henri Richard, HOF hockey player and all-time Stanley Cup win leader. Alzheimer's since 2015 and has reportedly been in poor health recently.

David Gulpilil- Australian Actor has terminal lung cancer and weeks or months to Live .Don't need to go on a "Walkabout" to notice he is a guranteed hit if picked Lata Mangeshkar -The Bollywood Legend has spent the last 2 weeks in the hospital(And the family is saying she is "just fine" like all people who have long hospital stays) Everton Weekes -One of Cricket's biggest Icon's had a heart attack this summer.Turns 95 in Feb John Hume-He would be the first person to die who appeared in an episode of Derry Girls. A name that is too big to miss Beverly Cleary -One of America most succesful Children's Author's Turn 104 next year. Arguably way more succesful/notable then Wouk who appeared on DL multiple times, which makes her selection overdue.

I've had 20 hits this year, they should just choose 50 from my list. Chances are that they'd get more hits.

I'm more surprised folk think he'll be discharged in 2 days as he's been in hospital pretty much the entire year with a long term issue of some sort, and all the press around the Chernobyl miniseries was quick to mention his increasingly frail self.

I think all of the Stones will bow out in the 20s. Starting with Wyman next year.

How about his touring partner for the last few years, Des O'Connor? Might get two for the price of one.

I think he should be number 1 next year on DL.

Who should be/could be No.1? I think it's time for a change: a) not Kirk Douglas for the fourth time in a row b) it should be a woman at the top!* *The last time a woman sat at the top of the DeathList was in 2015 with Zsa Zsa Gabor. Before that only 3 other women were No.1s: Queen Mother (1991 and 2000), Doris Speed (1993) and Etta James (2012). Really a bad quote! Only 2 women are eligible imo, Vera Lynn and Olivia de Havilland. So I say it should be Vera Lynn, if she makes it to 2020.

If there’s one thing I’m confident that the committee will do, it’ll be ignoring American sports folk unless they have transcended that fame like Joe DiMaggio
