    Dr. Ruth H. Pater, Ph.D. (82), a longtime NASA researcher specializing in the field of materials science, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021. As a senior polymer scientist at NASA, Dr. Pater engaged in pioneering research on high-temperature polymeric materials suitable for aerospace and industrial applications. Dr. Pater received numerous the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal and the International R&D 100 Award in 1992 for her development of a high-temperature polyimide resin known as LaRC RP46, and the NASA Commercial Invention of the Year Award in 2005 for her development of commercial technologies employing the LaRC RP46 polyimide resin.     Barry White, long-time soul singer who made himself an attraction in the 70's with his romantic songs who suffered from hypertension and chronic high blood pressure, was hospitalized for kidney failure. White was undergoing dialysis treatment, but the combination of illnesses proved too much and he died at a West Hollywood hospital on this date in 2003. He was 58 years old. During the course of his long career in the music business, White earned an astounding 106 gold albums, 41 of which also attained platinum status, 20 gold platinum singles and 10 platinum singles, his musical talent had earned him more than one hundred million dollars in worldwide record sales. Barry White's body was cremated and his ashes were scattered.

    The end of last month had some deaths. Three days of July have passed and the deaths this far have been not-so-notable people of which the only one I've ever heard before was a racehorse. The grim reaper probably decided to take a few days off after dragging Rumsfeld into hell

    Apparently he died in April but it has only just become public knowledge. Sad for you as a fan but to be honest I had not heard of him until the sad news was released. But that is either generational or just a reflection on me . Certainly not on him.
