Reid is not a major miss from the committee at all. Only 2 names I would actually consider major misses is Larry King (all the warning signs were there for him) and Desmond Tutu (bit of a bedblocker that got dropped yet Shane MacGowan and Dick Cheney got carried over)

Some 2022 lists really getting fucked up the last week or so

I forget you're a young one. Those games were everywhere in the 90s. Anyhow - only 85, seemingly died unexpectedly - can't expect the Cmme to be clairvoyant.

All my entries into every pool I've entered since I started deadpooling years ago are just to amuse myself - isn't that the point? If I get close enough to a win so I get excited (even a little bit) that's a bonus. P.S. Your secret theme is no longer a secret.

NASA astronaut and U.S. Army Aviator Michael Clifford, with over 3,400 hours of flying time and 12 hours of spacewalk time, died at 69 years: http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-122821a-nasa-astronaut-rich-clifford-obituary.html He has flown aboard the Discovery, Endeavour, and Atlantis.

Well, it’s actually not relative. The man was well known to be ill and he received a qualifying obituary. Your opinion and general lack of knowledge are irrelevant. He is well known in the U.K. among people with an interest in U.S. politics and among serious deadpoolers. You are obviously neither. Furthermore, the person you initially got into this foolish squabble with was @Ulitzer95 so you’re obviously wrong, as he’s right about (nearly) everything.

If your general interest only began in the last few years that is excusable. Anyone paying attention during the Bush and Obama presidencies would be aware of him. Also he gets talked about on these forums with regularity.

Great coach great announcer greater legend for the game and a catalyst for putting American football on top of all sports here in America. RIP SC

Is this going to be the years last 'big miss' v 'never heard of em' row? Place your bets with now with Honest Dave. (so honest in fact that my name isn't Dave). Mind you, we can blame Cunto and his normal americentric bullshit for stirring this one up.

That’s not true. I do talk a lot of shit, but I’ll take the compliment!

Telegraph death announcement for Árpád Pusztai (wiki), Hungarian-born British biochemist whose concerns over genetically modified potatoes and the effects on the body caused the Pusztai affair in 1998. He died at his home in Aberdeen on December 17th, aged 91. Picked in the DDP last in 2014 (d'oh!).

Alright we now we have the first fraction of a point of the 2022 game. Harry Reid long represented the Silver State but it's the rest of us who have to settle for silver for the time being as theoldlady is the first on the board with 0.82 points.

Would also add Carlos Menem and David Gulpilil were fairly big misses.

Am glad fuck all people picked him for The Crowdsourced Deathlist.

I’m aware of John Madden mostly for his video game franchise, if it was just his coaching career I might not know who is tbh

Many of the teams designed to amuse the creators are often more interesting than the "competitive" ones. I often cite the Crumbles and Hits of 36 Years Ago as examples, because my memory is shite, but yeah, not wasteful at all.

Just because he's 85 next year (so why not) I did want to pick Otto Pfister for my DDP oldies team. Also, because his name makes Mrs msc laugh anytime I mention it. But there's no space. So I'll just mention him here. Also, I guess its time to carry on an old tradition. The Curse of Pan Breed, Resume: 2021 - Yoo Sang-Chul, Lars Hogh 2020 - Lee Kerslake 2019 - Philomena Lynott, Steffan Lewis, Carl Piddington 2018 - Colin Butts, Simon Ricketts 2017 - Keith Farnham 2016 - Caroline Aherne, Asa Briggs 2015 - Chris Woodhead, George Cole 2014 - Derek Martinus, Sandy Jardine, Jaruzelski 2013 - Glafcos Clerides, Ronald Coase Who will join the list of picks dropped by myself only to snuff it the next year? Officially being dropped for 2022* Tom Smith Gavin Robertson Alan Dean Foster Necro Butcher Miguel van Damme Tom Parker I humbly apologise to all and any fans of the above. *I may revert this if any of them announce hospice care in the next 50 hours...
