3 pointsLata Mangeshkar - four to five. As in teams that profited from the Nightingale of India being grounded, with five picking her but only four scoring thanks to those sick bastards that didn't submit a team leading to a bye. ThereWillBeDeaths7 pulls things back to a draw in their match, while TQR, Pedro67 and Sideik all take the lead in theirs. LizLemon 0 v. Masterffull 0 Sir Cunto 0 v. theoldlady 0 Salmon Mousse 3 v. 2 pointsGood. That's exactly as it should be. There was never any reason why it shouldn't. Camilla has chosen not to use the style of Princess of Wales, and that should be enough of a concession to appease the Diana fans.

2 pointsQueen Camilla. I can hear Diana screaming in the afterlife just saying that out loud.

1 pointHe seemed to have gotten better for the past few months and his death wasnt a complete surprise but there was definitely a degree of unexpectedness when they found him dead in bed in the morning.

1 pointBilly Reed, the legendary Kentucky sportswriter who was both controversial and widely admired, who covered Adolph Rupp, more than 50 Kentucky Derbys and went on jogs with Muhammad Ali, has died. He was 78 and spent more than 60 years of his life covering sports. He wasn’t revered by all, though, and he was never one to shy from controversy. Just two weeks ago, Reed posted of former Kentucky basketball coach Joe B. Hall, on the day of the coach’s death, that although Hall should be fondly remembered, he was “not as good as Denny Crum or Bobby Knight.” SC

1 pointCompletely agree. No reason at all that they should be bound by hypothetical sensitivities on behalf of someone who has been dead for a quarter of a century and who willingly divorced him.

1 pointWhatever the merits or otherwise of using Ivermectin to treat Covid (and it may have well have some effect on stimulating the immune system, even if it does nothing against the virus itself), I just find it odd/amusing that people will refuse a vaccine because they don't trust big Pharma and the vaccine isn't properly tested, but will self medicate with Ivermectin. Where the fuck do they think the ivermectin comes from - it doesn't miraculously fall out of the sky. And it obviously hasn't been fully tested against Covid. As it happens, the Ivermectin itself is likely to be safe. As Toast said earlier - it is widely used in humans across the world to treat parasites including Onchocerca which causes River Blindness. For some reason, people always focus on the fact that these drugs are used in veterinary medicine, despite the fact that most drugs are used in both humans and animals. A classic example is when people taking ketamine for recreational purposes are described as taking "horse tranquilisers", despite the fact that ketamine is commonly used in human anaesthesia. Anyhow, it's a win-win for Laurence Fox. Once he gets over the Covid-19 (as he probably will, since he is a relatively young fit healthy person), he can continue to be smug about how he knows more than the "experts" out there, while also no longer having an itchy arse.

1 pointConstance Demby, pioneering ambient/space musician dead at 81: https://slippedisc.com/2021/03/ambient-composer-floats-away-at-81/ Apparently, the live performances were quite something and she made most of her instruments herself.

1 pointIsraeli violinist Ivry Gitlis dead at 98: https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel/1608817435-israel-s-violin-genius-ivry-gitlis-dies-at-98 A-list name in these circles. Heavily under consideration for my old classical music theme team, but he was very active all the time. But it seems he declined pretty fast.

1 pointThat's sad. I especially like "The Pearl", an album he made with Brian Eno. The album is a real gem ... or pearl.
