It certainly is a miss because her sad death was the first I was aware of her illness. I have been very focused on older soap stars past and present like Elizabeth Kelly, Julie Goodyear, Eileen Derbyshire, John Savident etc but really pretty much neglected looking into and researching some who were younger.

I know there's competition, even from his own previous videos but this might be the most beautiful and eloquent 4 minute summation of the shitshow running this country that I've ever heard.

Bogeyed the 72nd hole to get Cink into the playoff, also, and his short iron approach was literally right at it. He just misjudged how firm that green was in combination with how downwind it was playing, so his ball bounded long and he couldn't get up and down with the putter. If he lands that shot 30-40 feet short of the pin, he wins the Claret Jug. I'm still upset at how that ended!

I'm in my early 30s, and the idea that Tom Watson could've won a major when I was 20-odd seems fantastical, when you see footage of him duking it out with Nicklaus in the 70s. Mickelson broke the record at 50 when he won the PGA, Watson had nearly a decade on him! I never see Stewart Cink pop up without subliminally blaming him for ruining the greatest golf story ever.

Had a weird dream last night, the deathlist for next year was already out in April 2022. The person at Number 1 was a guy that doesn't exist, in my dream he was a guy that had like 30 surgeries to keep him alive. Shane MacGowan was at number 5, Bono was there, but he was a woman, Robert Durst apparently came back from the dead to appear again, and the last 4 places were all fictitious characters from TV shows (that sadly i don't remember right now).

I can't believe that creature is real. Still less that people have voted for it.

One of the founders of the LPGA Tour, Shirley Spork, dead at 94. It was announced last month that she would be inducted in the LPGA Hall of Fame. She is not, as far as I know, responsible for combining the fork and the spoon.

Yeah but tbf the economy in 1970 was better than in 1968, in 1964 better than 1962-3, and in 2010 better than 2009 (well it could hardly be worse!) but basically once the economy fucks you, the public rarely seem to forgive you afterwards even if you try to sort out your own mess. But its not the only reason governments fall. As 1997 showed, there can be many reasons and sometimes, its ALL OF THEM. At once!

"The service takes place each year on the Thursday before Easter Sunday, with special coins given to pensioners, with one man and one woman chosen for each year the Queen has lived. " That means a hand-out and a little chat to 190 people. Not surprising she's ducked out of it.
