Ronnie Biggs died on this day 9 years ago, aged 84. A lot of people here already know the below information- but for those new: Biggs was a burglar who was dishonorably discharged from the RAF. In 1963, desperate for cash to buy a house for his family, Biggs and a group of fourteen others (including Bruce Reynolds, whom he had met in prison) robbed a Royal Mail train, taking 2.6 million pounds- he received 147,000 of them. Biggs would be caught and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment- he escaped fifteen months in. From there, Biggs managed to flee to Brussels, asking his wife to meet him in Paris with their children. In 1966, they then went to Australia, and moved to Brazil in 1969 when Interpol was closing in on them. Brazil did not have an extradition treaty with the UK at the time. Biggs was found in 1974, but was not extradited even after an extradition treaty was made in 1997. Due to his worldwide travels, he earned the nickname "The Ambassador". In 2001, Biggs decided to return to the UK to die. He was immediately arrested upon landing, and did not receive any extra time on his sentence for escape and evading authorities. His health continued to deteriorate while imprisoned, which included contracting a severe staph infection and a rumored heart attack. In 2009, following a series of strokes, Biggs was released on compassionate grounds. Sometime during 2010, Biggs became aware of this site, having made appearances on every list since 2000, except for 2001- often appearing within the top five spots each year. His publisher (@CriticalDivide) provided updates on him, and Biggs would make Facebook posts after having purchased (currently unavailable) DeathList merchandise. Biggs also mentioned DeathList at his autobiography launch in 2011. Biggs is so far the only DeathList alumnus to have publicly reacted to being on the list- the "Ambassador" nickname was also apt for this reason. Following his death, one final statement was released: "You always did warn me that you would win in the end, so congratulations and thanks for your patience over these many years. I was honoured to be your ambassador and will miss you probably more than you will miss me. And if you ask, yes it was a life worth living, even with the regrets. I hope you all get as much out of life as I have. See you on the other side."

King Constantine II of Greece, king of Greece from 1964–1973. He turns 83 years old next year and has been seen using a wheelchair for a while now. He was in hospital in 2018 after having a stroke. And was in hospital with covid-19 in January this year. He did not attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II this year. I don't think he has much time left.

Including a correction to @Book's score where he repeated the old lady's +4 for the Alan Partridge song, and moved it up the ranking - but didn't actually change its points total. Too busy writing eulogies for Althea and Donna through the tears eh? Thus proving that even the game runner is only human like the rest of us who have messed it up on occasion. 37 Donna Summer – I Feel Love +4 34 ABBA – Knowing Me, Knowing You 33 Kate Bush – Wuthering Heights 31 Gary Numan – Cars 30 David Bowie – Space Oddity 25 Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody 23 10cc – I'm Not in Love 22 Suzi Quatro – Devil Gate Drive 22 Baccara – Yes Sir, I Can Boogie 22 Blondie – Heart of Glass 21 Simon & Garfunkel – Bridge over Troubled Water 20 Don McLean – Vincent 20 ABBA – The Name of the Game 20 Nilsson – Without You 19 The Sweet – Blockbuster 16 T.Rex – Get It On 13 Smokey Robinson & The Miracles – Tears of a Clown -6 12 Alice Cooper – School's Out 12 Suzi Quatro – Can the Can 10 ABBA – Waterloo

According to some rural chinese news outlet free speech supressing couple Wang Hanbin and Peng Peiyun made a rare appearance last month. Image was a bit stretched but they are now both wheelchairbound and Wang Hanbin looks pretty frail. (Looks tired and in pain. Thought of saying he'll be dead within around 6-10 months, but it's been almost a full year since Khamtai Siphandone's "bullet train appearance" and he's still alive somehow)

Which hospital was that, then? We have more than one hospital here. Give it time. The Tories still have about a year and a half-ish.

Earlier this week a colleague decided to put a Christmas CD on (he even brought in his own antiquated CD player in an attempt to create atmosphere). When Gary Glitter came on it was possibly the highlight of my week to see him quickly toddle back to the CD player muttering "Oh no, no, no...we don't want Gary Glitter." It was a slow week...

Aye, so a couple of things - first off if the family wanted to save a few quid she appears to have a few front teeth substantial enough to serve as a tombstone Secondly, even if the other parties stood aside to allow the second placed Lib Dems a crack at taking the seat from the Tories then the numbers from the last election suggest it would be a tough ask, majority of over 16,000 and 55% percent of the whole vote as of 12 Dec 2019

This one goes out to the left hand side of the pond from someone who owns a Mets t-shirt. Do I really have Ron Santo on too many of my deadpool lists? Or is he really ill, and quite likely to die at any time?
