I would respectfully suggest that Like A Prayer is Madonna's best eighties track and surprised that it is not doing better here. Have we got PSB fatigue after putting through two in the last round. Heart was written with the intention of offering it to Madonna but they feared rejection so recorded it themselves. In respect to Kylie surely I Should Be So Lucky is an iconic eighties anthem whereas I cannot even remember Hand on your Heart. If I Wanna Dance With Somebody can't get through to the final then no other WH track deserves to.

Alright, I've added two more teams that were still out there, including yours, @TheKeysOfMarinus. These two teams actually lead to an expansion of the Drop 40. Glynis Johns and Stanley Baxter are now also in. The Drop 40 consists of 43 names now. Unfortunately for some, there are 3-4 names that have lost their uniqueness because a late added team has picked them as well. And with that, I'd like to close the gates shut for 2023. 519 teams, this is it. Admittedly, there was a personnel turnover and some need for getting accustomed to the teams submission process. But now in mid-February, I hope everyone has checked their teams, and so there is no more forgotten team out there. However, I will still check for name changes, and an update of the statistics. While one CAN do it all manually, I'd like to try a more automatic approach, meaning that in the ideal world, once the new game is up, the teams and celebrity info is perfect, and I can plug this new database for the year into a file that updates "name", "years in DDP" and "best rank" automatically. But since that is not required for the game to run smoothly, a rush to finish that is not needed (and not many people complained that some stats were outdated last year).

Depeche Mode yesterday in Italy first live performance from brand new single "Ghosts", a wonderful hommage to their friend Andy Fletcher. Love that song instantly.

No state funeral for O Kuk-ryol, as if they were expecting a bigger death coming soon or very soon... Among the remaining major old timers Choe Yong-rim is wheelchair bound and visibly frail, Kim Ki-nam is suffering from "age related issues", Kim Yong-nam is rumoured to have severe dementia. Choe Thae-bok seems to be doing well, so probably the last one standing.

It's 86 years since the death of (Arthur) John Priest. Nicknamed "The Unsinkable Stoker", he survived the sinking of The Titanic (1912), the Alcantara (in combat, 1916), Britannic (sunk by a mine, 1916) and the Donegal (sunk by a torpedo, 1917) all after surviving two collisions in 1908 (Asturias) & 1911 (Olympic). After the Donegal sinking, he retired from the marine, saying no-one wished to sail with him any longer. He died, aged 49, from pneumonia.

Joe Satriani's Unstoppable Momentum. Top Hits of the 1950's - compiled by Casey Kasem. Mama Cass Elliot and Dave Mason's album circa 1973, along with some other Cass Elliot classics. Plus making my own cd that will be the Best 25 Hard Rock Songs of all time. Almost done with that one and just above I find one of the songs posted - Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas. Nicely done TQR!

Just had a look through the next round’s lineup. God in heaven, what a load of gash. Difficult to know where to begin with all the minus points (after we’ve put down the Bunny, anyway).

Hulk Hogan can not feel his lower body or legs due to a new surgery. He's also had tons of surgeries and health problems in the past years and will be 70 in August, around 94 for a professional wrestler. Would it be soon time to reinstate this thread after 17 years?

A link to the article concerning Sherri's death for anyone who cares. For all the wrestlers some of us do consider as being at risk for an early casket call, someone we hadn't considered always seems to bite us when we're not looking.
