Didn't stop Hemut Schmidt , Baronness Trumpington and June Brown getting past 90 and they smoked to a far greater age.

They only go when you're absolutely positive they're immortal, so Jimmy can't have long left.

I've been visiting deathlist.net for a little while, but registered today after the death of Simon Wiesenthal. He did great service. But I love the website, it's a hoot...!!! Now, just to humor ourselves, which member can accurately predict the year he/she will be eligible to join the list...???!!! Merlin

Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Nazi Germany during WWII, died on this day 78 years ago, aged 56. Country singer Naomi Judd died by suicide on this day last year, aged 76.

A lot of the internet (including the Nirvana Wiki) seems to conflate janitor Tony De La Rosa with the tejano musician of the same name, making it hard to research. There's a comment on Weird Al's blog from De La Rosa's son in 2013. So we have a location of Westbrook, Maine to look at, but not much else.

Leslie Banning (Wiki), died on July 22, 2014 in Simi Valley, CA at the age of 83. Updated here again, another off radar actress from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

And...five of drol's immortals listers? Ali Yafie (25 Feb), Ignacio Lopez Tarso (11 Mar), Wan Haifeng (31 Mar), Tu Tongjin (3 Apr) and Parkash Singh Badal (25 Apr). At this point I feel like he'll outlive a few more.

Perhaps but his uselessness as a candidate guaranteed that FDR was President when WW2 broke out so I'd say he had a fairly significant indirect impact on World events.

Strom Thurmond is the longest lived US Presidential candidate to gain Electoral votes. He lived a few months longer than Landon did.

I’d have to say Olivia de Havilland. Two-time best actress Oscar winner and star of Gone with the Wind! Luise Rainer was another two-time best actress winner to make it to 104, though she was decidedly less famous.

Queen Mother wasn't really known outside of the UK and hadn't any political power.

I can't exactly tell if that was sung live or not. If it wasn't his lip syncing is excellent...

I have an interesting conversation idea: When would you hate to die? I'd hate to die the year of a US Presidential Election, before the election... (e.g. January 1, 2016 - November 8, 2016)... I at least want to know who the President will be in the next couple of years after I'm dead. Also, this is a bit obessive compulsive, but I'd hate to die in the 2080s... you see, I was born in 2001, therefore if I die in the 2080s, I'd have lived in all the decades except the 2090s... but I'd rather just go in the 2070s (after missing out on two decades) or earlier because I don't want to live to be an old, grumpy grandpa.

20th November 2080 aged 86 in a Dignitas clinic after being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease and suffering a couple of minor strokes (I couldn`t bear ending up like Zsa Zsa Gabor) .Then again I am quite unhealthy as I smoke and drink a fair bit and there is heart disease in the family so I predict I will have a couple of heart attacks in my 50`s and 60`s and clean up my act a bit no doubt.

Ugh, I didn't know that! I will have to check which one I used, but I doubt if they would all have it anyway. For one thing, I've never emailed the ex-colleague, it's a Christmas-cards-only sort of thing. Here's my bet hedged "or summat". If you have these people's email addresses on the account you signed up with then Facebook can locate them. It might seem creepy but I think it's fascinating how they can make these links if what I just said isn't the case. That and the six degrees application (that I can no longer find) that you used to find out how you could be linked to someone if you didn't already know them. I now know of people I know who know people I do not know who know people I know. However this all probably stems from the fact I'm someone who likes to discover things so I guess that could be why I don't find it creepy.

Me too, if you mean what I think you do...and I intend to be with a certain retired British actor when it happens... Bummer there. Retired, but neither British nor an actor. OK, so now that you have my attention... an ex-pat Aussie? Or are you, in fact, here in the Great South Land? That would explain why you are awake now... Sorry, my bad - I see you are from the US, California no less.....hi.

Well so far we know that you are Australian/New Zealandish and that you are an annoying cow. So my guess would be Germaine Greer.

Windsor, you're not a tubby, chain smoking pessimist by any chance? Actually I'm a underweight, non-smoking pessimist. I got a body mass of 10 - I think something went wrong...
