2 pointsA man sees a sign outside a house - 'Talking Dog For Sale.' He rings the bell, the owner appears and tells him the dog can be viewed in the back garden. The man sees a very nice looking Labrador Retriever sitting there. "Do you really talk?" he asks the dog. "Yes," the Labrador replies. After recovering from the shock of hearing the dog talk, the man asks, "So, tell me your story." The Labrador looks up and says, "Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I joined the SAS. "In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one imagined that a dog would be eavesdropping. "I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years. But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at Heathrow to do some undercover security work, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded several medals. I got married, had a few puppies, and now I've just retired." The man is amazed. He goes back into the house and asks the owner how much he wants for the dog. "Ten quid," the owner says. "£10!!? But this dog is absolutely amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheaply?" "Because he's a lying b*****d. He's never been out of the garden.

2 pointsI loved that, probably my favourite of the series so far, I agree with what others have said that it feels very Black Mirror or Inside No.9.

2 pointsWe wouldn't all be so impatient if the three hits of the year had been spread out better, e.g. at the end of January, beginning of March and mid-May. Of course, that would still not be enough hits for us overall, but we probably wouldn't have the feeling that the DL was dead. I also think there will be some more hits to come.
-
2 pointsStill think it's not a bad list. Just a lot of people seem to be just hanging on. Still quite conceivable that there's a glut of hits in the 2nd half of the year

2 pointsAt this stage, Ethel and Noam are the only ones I can see going before this coming June. Carter seems safe and sound for now... again.

2 points80 years old today, Frank Oz is. A happy birthday, I must wish him. And not to mention his roles as Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Grover, Bert, Cookie Monster and a bunch of other Muppets:

2 pointsOk, so two things: 1. Is the main headline a precursor to an astonishing volte face from the Mail over who it's backing? (Surely not!) 2. The only Labour PMs since the 70s have been Blair and Brown, so yes BoJo, Keir is going to be the most left wing Labour PM since the 70s, you pillock.
