5 pointsYou read that right. 30 years of the DDP. A mighty milestone few could've envisioned when it was a local 90s affair that had its own trophy. 2024, despite an overall hits tally on track to break the record, felt fairly arid on the headliner and competitive fronts, perhaps portending a mighty 2025 enema. Whatever happens, @time, @Banana and I are once again here to guide you through it... Dear Jimmy - either die in the next week, or go all the way to- wait, I wrote this before... THE RULES are near exactly what they were last time, with the only edits done being updating all instances of 2023/2024 to 2024/2025, and changing The Times' URL from .co.uk to .com. IMPORTANT REMINDER: The spreadsheet method of entry that began in 2021 remains in service. The 2025 spreadsheet, identical to the 2024 one in all but filename, can be found here. It is heavily recommended to use the spreadsheet as means of entry to reduce Banana's workload as much as possible. If you are absolutely unable to work with the Excel spreadsheet, still make sure to recheck GUN's DDP entry guide thread from 2020 to make the formatting of your email as smooth as possible.

3 pointsFor the official list I think he's a necessary drop, for shadow lists it depends how many you need to get rid of, personally I'm keeping him as I have the room but if you need the extra space he's a safer option to drop than most 'terminally ill' people.

1 pointWhale might be the first celeb I'm 100% sure is deliberately trolling deadpoolers. That's like four years in a row now he's come out with "yep, looks like the end of the line for this ol' bag of bones" in late November/December, only to show absolutely zero signs of being close to death for the other 10.5 months of the year.

1 pointBased on @The Old Crem original game back in 2022. The game is simple. Pick 20 celebrities who will have a child in either 2025 or 2026. Rules: 1. Teams have to be sent in by 31/12/2024. Please send teams to me via PM and do not post it on the thread until after deadline to avoid copycats. 2. You can pick either the mother or father of the child, but the parent has to be a celebrity. 3. You score points once the celebrity, celebrity's partner, surrogate gives birth or the adoption of a baby under 8 weeks old is announced. 4. The qualifying source is either a newspaper report or a post on verified social media account belonging to the Celeb or their partner. 4. Celebrity is defined by the pick having a Wikipedia page that existed before 1st December 2024. 5. You can't pick both likely parents of the same child in the event that both mother and father count as celebrities. 6. If there is any public doubt as to the identity of the father of the child, then the pick will be 'lost'. 7. Picks must be legal (i.e. the parent must be over the age of consent in their home country) 8. No pregnancy that has been officially announced or reported in a Q/O source as a strong rumour is allowed. 9. Any pregnancy that is announced between now and the deadline will not be eligible for points and you can chose to then withdraw that celebrity and replace them (but can also keep them in case their have a second birth in 2025). 10. Each team is allowed one joker who can gain double points. 11. If pregnancy is announced and there is a misscarriage or still birth then player gets half points (10 points turns into 5 etc). 12. Player will get certificate of participation if no points by end of the year. Certificate of frustration if all your picks are football players, meaning it's harder to find updates due to transfer news etc. Age of parent at time of birth: Mother: 17-30: 10 points 31-35: 15 points 36-40: 20 points 41-50: 40 points 51+: 100 points Father: 17-30: 10 points 31-40: 15 points 41-50: 20 points 51-60: 40 points 61-70: 70 points 71+: 100 points Let the predicting commence.
